My parents just retired from the Air Force, so during my college years, they always lived really far away from where I went to school. I was always in airports around the holidays and people always stopped me because I carried my Alpha Gam bag with me as my carry-on. One time I was in Denver, going to St. Louis and a woman stopped me and said she was an Alpha Gam from the midwest and was involved with the Denver Alumnae Club but was moving to St. Louis. We chatted for a minute and then it was time to board the plane. As luck would have it, our tickets had us sitting right next to each other! We talked the whole way to St. Louis and she gave me her business card and told me that if I ever needed ANYTHING to give her a call! Later that year I was at Convention and I got a mysterious Appreciation Rose (you can purchase them for people at convention! They're really cute) and turns out she was there! It was really neat to see her again.

That's my cool story!

Hey OTW, my boyfriend is in the Navy, and could be stationed in HI very soon. He finds out in August...No matter where he goes I plan on trying to find sisters in the area.

ees, that's wonderful!

Our alumnae chapter here is a multi-jewel chapter, and their support for the collegians is amazing. The Junior Circle was reorganized last year, but from what I hear they've been gaining more and more members. Let me know the outcome!

I will keep you posted, OTW. I can't say I mind terribly much if he headed to HI for three years ; ) The waiting is driving me crazy though.
