At West Georgia, freshman are required to live in specific dorms unless they sign a waiver stating they are living at home.

UGA Dorms

Quote:
As someone who has lived in a UGA dorm (Brumby, also known by some more colorful nicknames), this seems a bit ridiculous. I feel like I can honestly tell you that is the one experience I would never want to do over again in my lifetime.
I currently live in "da Brumbs"(one of the nicer nicknames). The rooms are tiny, with crappy closets and pathetic desks. Al 3 "high rise" dorms are like that, and all 3 hosue Freshmen only(around 1000 in each). But some of the other dorms are a bit nicer. One of my sorority sisters lives in Oglethorpe House, where they have suites. Also, the rooms are slightly bigger than the high rises.

I have pros and cons about the dorm. I haven't really hated it, i knew my room mate before hand and all that. I complain about the size and how its always SO HOT in the rooms. But I do like being on campus, it makes me feel connected. The only bad thing is football weekends. Imagine having thousands of drunks literally on your front lawn.
