Cool

If I could, I wish that I could have gone to Howard or Grambling. My goal is to get accepted into Howard's Law School when I finish my 4 year degree.

My first choice was Southern University where I will be finally graduating this Fall.

However I applied and was accepted at Prairie View, Clark, FAMU, Grambling and Langston.

I was leaning towards Clark, but SU was cheaper, I thank God I didnt go to Paraire View, Langston or Grambling, being from Cali I would not have been able to adjust to being out in the middle of "nowhere"!

I got into Harvard, Princeton, Yale and Talladega. I went to Lincoln University (PA)
because it was the first black school in America and I needed to be emerced in an environment like that. No regrets...

He He. It's that being in the middle of "nowhere" that makes one STRONGER. One never will know where he or she will be led, so If I have to GO BACK to the middle of "nowhere", then, I'll be PREPARED.

Aint nuthin wrong with it, ain't nuthin wrong. The sad part about it is, there are places that are in the middle of "somewhere", so to speak, but it's still "nowhere".

LMAO!

As sad as it may seem, University of Minnesota was my first choice. I applied early, and got accepted, so I didn't apply anywhere else. I wish I would have mailed my application Duke. I also wish I had at least applied to an HBCU, but everything happens for a reason. I came here to study Pharmacy. At that time, the school was ranked 5 in the country. Now, after switching major's this school is even better. The HRD program is ranked 1 in the country.

I also would not have met my boyfriend, my best friend who is more like a sister to me, and of course my sorors..

Both of my Parents graduated from Black Colleges (Tuskegee and Livingstone College). They had told me about the good as well as the bad experiences. So in high school I wasn't sure if I wanted to go to a black college. I had football scholarship offers from Univ. of Maryland, Rutgers, Temple, Georgia Southern, Virginia Union and Morgan State Univ. I accepted the Scholarship to University of Md. But unfortunately the coach that recruited me had gotten fired during the spring semester. So I thought then, Georgia Southern. I visited the campus and discovered the "SOCIAL STATUS OF BLACK PEOPLE" in Eastern Georgia (If you catch my meaning). Needless to say I didn't like that. So Guess where I ended up? MORGAN STATE UNIVERSITY! That's right a historically Black College. It was great.

I "almost" had the opportunity to attend Fisk University - but blew it when I told my mom I didn't want to take piano lessons anymore - All the while my music teacher was making plans for me to attend her alma mater
