Your best bet is to just throw out some dates and see what people say, and then pick one.

Otherwise this thread will just die.

If its possible I will come up.

If you are holding out for 10 GC'ers you may be unrealistic in your expectation.

Surely some of the others GC'er might be interested?

Ok - here's the deal. I produce a standup comedy show at a bar in NYC wednesday and thursday nights. I spoke to the managers/owners, and if we want to meet up before a show, for $5 a head we get $2 beers for an hour beforehand and admission to the show (which is normally $10). Are people interested? And if so, how many people can do March 26th or 27th?

why don't we just meet up at a random bar for drinks like early on in the night. then we can decide to stay or go depending on the vibe. i can name some places if we need (no irish stuff though!)

That sounds good. I think that a Friday or Saturday night would be the best.

I like Irish pubs like Connelly's and PJ Clarke's, but it's not required.

Steve H. the comedy club sounded fun, but it was on a week night so that was kind of difficult.

So where and when to do this gathering? Friday or Saturday night? April 11th or 12? April 18th or 19th? A bar in midtown Manhattan or downtown or uptown? A club?

actually, the irish comment was more about irish bands...had to be there i guess....i love connellys!!!

the 12th is my birthday...i'll probably be in the city celebrating my 25th so we can all meet up that day if you want. any day is fine with me, as long as it's a weekend

We can all meet up there for some food and drinks and bring some lively conversation to the table (pun intended ) I think that late June would be a good time, considering it's b4 Independence Day and people would wanna use that time to spend it with their families. Or perhaps sometime in August would be good too. I don't think I'll be home too much during the month of July, so that's why I suggested these dates.....

i don't want to wait that long! let's do it this month! or next at the latest.

I agree!!!

Did you go to Connelly's on Black 47 night? I have never been there for live music.

BBQ's is fun though.

April 11th at Sutton Place. Does that sound good? It's on Second Avenue in the 50's. They have a roof top bar.

Any other suggestions?
