Inside Edition showed footage last week. They also said that Aretha Franklin sang via video "Amazing Grace". Whitney and Bobby were in a limo that had all of this TOP security following them. Wth?

Supposedly, Whitney spent a great deal of time at the casket, I guess saying her good-bye. I'm glad she wasn't acting all crazy.

I'm glad she showed up for the wake at least. If she would have been a COMPLETE no-show, I'd have problems with that.

I can understand why she wasn't at the funeral. And I'm glad that she spent A LOT OF TIME AT THE WAKE.

Not everyone can handle being a funeral... family or no family. I know people like that so it is easy for me to see this being a viable excuse (if you will) for Whitney not to show up. Plus, everyone is in her business and continues to be in her business so she would not have had the opportunity to TRULY mourn for her father at the funeral.

No one REALLY knows what Whitney's relationship was like with her father but her and her father. Therefore, it is not right or fair for one to say what she SHOULD HAVE or SHOULD NOT HAVE done because they don't know (I think Whitney made this clear during her interview with Wendy Williams). I am not insinuating that Whitney and her father have problems (I actually think the opposite is true).

I am saying that everyone deals with death differently, especially that of their parents and no one should open their mouth to critique her actions.

I think if this was a case of media folks will be there, the funeral will be too hard, I've already said my goodbyes, yadda yadda then Whitless' family would have know that in advance. I had an aunt to pass away recently and her only child, who is 26, was very uncomfortable at the wake. He told a few of us he was going to leave for a few. He also said, IN ADVANCE that he did not want to ride in the "family" car that the funeral home sent. He wanted to drive his own car. No body in the family had a problem with it and when I heard someone else ask why (like my aunt's siblings kept him out or something ) I politely put them in their place. Seems to me if it was like that Whit's family would be defending her.

I cannot STAND when the media reports things that are unnecessary to the story. First of all, why is it important what they wore to the funeral???????? Somebody is DEAD; who CARES what people have on???? People harp on some ignorant isht, I'm tellin' you. Secondly, if it had been a wedding, I could understand the sunglasses statement. But, I don't know, maybe she could have been CRYING and had red eyes from that, so THAT'S why she kept her sunglasses on. Dang.

I understand that she's crackish and whatnot, but back up. The death of one's PARENT is hardly the time to pick at somebody. I agree with Soror 2D, if she hadn't shown at the wake, I could see people trippin' off of that. But apparently, she did what she needed to do, and didn't feel the need to attend the funeral. That time is a personal time. Should she have shown up simply to save face? That's straight BS. People have no idea how the death of her father affected her. NO IDEA. People don't know where to draw the line. Celebrity or not, have a little respect.

Hello, Sorors,

I am really concerned about the incident that took place with the AKA's. Can anyone give me some feedback on what took place? Thanks.
