Just a friendly reminder to those of you picking names that aren't pronounced how they are spelled...I have one of those names...it is NOT fun growing up with a name that is *entirely* French (first, middle and last). Think of how it will sound on the playground - you don't want other kids to say "huh?" when your kids introduce themselves...

For girls, I've always liked the name Anicca. I'm not sure if that's the correct spelling, but it's a Pali word. I also like Camille.
For boys, I think my favorite now is Tobias, but I also like Brennan Marshall (after my 2 favorite Supreme Court justices, however now that I think law sucks, I probably wouldn't pick that).
Although my real answer to the question is: OMG, if I had a baby today, I would FREAK OUT!! I am SO not ready for that!!

Y'all just make sure that you pick several names for each sex in case your husband decides to get involved and be picky. Mine did and I was so shocked that Mr. Jock even cared about girls' names! We went around and around about names for baby girls. I'm okay with what we agreed on but next time is MY turn.

I have a friend named madeline rose!
If I had a girl, I'd name her Violet Ann, and if it was a boy I'd name him Travis Anthony

Please note that there are no male GCers on this thread telling us, "Well I like Taylor Michael but I had a great-uncle named Taylor who smelled really bad... so I think I'll go for Stony Creek Johnson instead!"
I do not have any names picked out specifically for my future children, but when I hear a name I like, I take note.

Haha Carolina,
I was just going to post that the first Male GCer to comment on the names for his future children will be subjected to endless ridicule from the rest of the XY chromosome population on here.
Oh crap, or was that a ploy to get one of us to post on this thread

Nefertiti aside, I think there are some names listed on here that would result in a lifetime of torture in the schoolyard. I wonder if people think about that??

I agree... without naming names, some of these names are just plain AWFUL. Poor kids...
***With note to Jess_Pom: As I was reading this thread I noticed that Taylor Michael was one of your actual names... and I was not trying to make fun of you. Actually that is a very nice name... I just picked two random "populars" and put them together.

Some people just don't. Our friends didn't realize for over 5 years that their daughter's initials are ASS. Bet she'll never get anything monogrammed.
