10 PRINT: I LOVE YOU
20 PRINT: I LOVE YOU TOO!!
20 GOTO 10
RUN

And the screen would fill with "I LOVE YOU"s

Did you play any video games on it? We played
Avenger (Space Invaders)--my highest score was 6000
Road Race--where you had to accelerate and steer with the keyboard--and your fingers got tired from being so stiff for so long.
Jupiter Lander - my highest score was 50,700.
Radar Rat Race - I forgot this one.

Or the adventure games, where you typed what the character should do. It would always ask "What shall I do now?"

Games included:
Adventure Land
Pirates Cove
Mission Impossible
among others...

OH MY GOSHHHHH!!!!!

You just took me waaaay back!!! I'm sitting here

Yes, now I remember the program and thought it was the greatest thing!!!

I remember playing Pirates Cove and Space Invaders, but I don't recall the other games.

Remember ping pong? The stick and the ball that would go from one side of the screen to the other, then as you got better the ball would move faster making the noise: boop, boop, boop, and you knew you were doing something with that stick.

Wow folks!!! We sure have come a loooooong way since then and that was ONLY 20 plus years ago.....just think of where we are going to be 20 plus years from now....

Remember how we used to talk to people all over in Greekchat.com, now all we have to do is..............

I watched the Banana Splits when I was a little tiny kid. It ran from 1968 to 1970 on NBC. There's a sports radio talk show host in San Diego that uses the theme music as his closing theme.

I also remember Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp. Boy, I had no conscience at that time.

Ok why did I watch "I love the 80's" all day last sunday? I watched every episode and I almost died laughing when they were talking about that singer named Ashley who had a really soulful voice. One guy started singing like him and goes "I'm a whiteeee guyyyy with a big black voiceeeee" I was like oh no he didn't! lol.

I did the same thing on Sunday!! I love that show!! It brings back so so so many memories!! The singer's name was Rick Ashley. What was funny about that one was I thought the same thing when he first came out. I like how they did the tribute to the MULLET CUT....that was so funny. Everytime they run the shows I am always there to watch it.

I loved Rick Ashley (a 2 hit wonder) and I digged his dance moves.

Another soulful singer was the red haired guy. I think he did a remake, "I'll keep holding on..... something about the years". I thought the name of the group was Simple Minds but I'm not sure.

I confess that I watch the 80's shows on VH-1 on Sunday and it brought back some memories - Who Shot JR - it was Mary Crosby who played Kristin Davis. Ok, is that the actress name on SATC who plays Charlotte?

Did anyone watch the 1980 show on VH-1? I swore that some of things that they were talking about actually happenned in 79 or 78.

I remember that and then after cartoons were over, I used to watch O.G. Readmore on ABC with his little specials like the Mouse who used to ride the motorcycle....Ralph and the one with the kid who was dared to eat an earthworm and started to eat them all the time. There were so many of those stories.

If you REALLY LOVE 80s tv shows and commericials....

....log on to The 80s TV Themes Supersite

This site is the BOMB!!!! It has theme songs to sitcoms, dramas, game shows, commercials, network promos, even educational shows such as Electric Company, Sesame Street, and Romper Room.

Audio and video clips are available

To all Price is Right fans, there is a page devoted to the musical cues during the show, all in its entirety and with no voice-overs. Some of them are IMHO really jazzy and funky.

I was up till 2 in the morning burning CDs off that site, it is THAT great!!!

Funniest commercial on that site was a video clip with Mr. T doing a commercial for a car wax called TR-3. It had me ROTFLMHO; it looked like someone planned, shot and edited the commercial during a lunch break.

Check it out yall

To the poster talking about O.G. Readmore, isn't he some literary gangsta rapper or something like that?

The 80s---now I always thought Breakdancing was cool but never tried it ( I wonder how many of those people have arthritis now?). I remember Moonlighting, Night Heat and Magnum PI.

Birtha....what up, Sping 03?

I'm from DC and i DEFINITELY remember the Santa hats!

Other DC 80's stuff....

The black mickey mouse sweat shirts....you know the one where Mickey and Minnie are dressed like a varsity athelete and a cheerleader, and on the back you could see Minnie's draws.

Leather visors with your Zodiac sign on them.

RUN JOE!

And oh yeah.....remember "One to Grow On?" they were the commercials on NBC saturday morning with folks from TV shows talking about morals and stuff.

I looooooved Saturday Morning Cartoons! And don't let them all premier the same day! I'd watch one channel all day and tape the other channel, only to watch it after lunch! I'd be watching cartoons until like 6pm!
