About the NPHC comment, I agree that is a tough standard to live up to... but I think I understand why it's so tough.
Iwas talking to a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha at my school and she was telling me they have something like 400 or 500 chapters internationally. That's WAAY more than even the biggest NPC group, so 100 chapters to join is like a drop in the bucket. Also a lot of the NPHC groups are a lot more international than most NPC groups. The AKA sister I was talking to said that they have chapters in South Africa, Dominican Republic, Canada, just to name a few...
I think they have these tough standards because, as pointed out before the point of the council is to support each org. involved in the council and make sure each ahs staying power It wouldn't be fair for them to say oh you only have 50 chapters and they're all 10 years old, but join our council and compete with these organizations that have 400 chapters, some 100 years old.
