Totally Agree

I totally agree with what everyone's said about getting a planner. I use mine rather religiously. Make sure you get one that has plenty of room to write in things...if you can, get one that shows things weekly and has the months in it somewhere....find out if your glo has any that they produce especially for you....AGD does and I love mine because the first part is full of tips for studying and time management, the second part is laid out so you can see a month in view, the third part is the weeks in view. I would be so lost without it, especially since I've been initiated and now everything applies to me. LOL
Good luck to ya!

Lately, I have become unbalanced and I'm not sure how to get back on track. I have 2 really big take home examine due tommorrow and I have class tonight from 6-10 (most of the time I get out earlier than that). So I'm just going to have to find some kind of balance.

But for now I have to work really hard to complete these assignments. To make matters even worst the weather is so nice outside, it makes you not want to do anything.

However this semester I have not been able to handle it that well. I have gotten behind in one of my classes, so now I'm playing catch up.

I really became out of balanced this semester.

.......

Right now I'm having the hardest time between my classes and TBS. Besides the normal president duties, I have to deal with sorority drama 24/7!!! And its making school not so easy at the moment.

I agree-when I pledged my fraternity, i was taught that your priorities should be Scholarship first, Fraternity second, Self last. when you have that in place, its not hard to organize your life...you realize that instead of drinking one night maybe you should stay in and do some work...
this semester i balanced 15 credits, my pledge education and scholarship chair positions, a 10 hour a week job, a position on the universities student judicial council, and a girlfriend...and im about to pull the best grades of my college career with a 3.6 or higher...
my advice-get a large whiteboard and hang it by your computer-write all your assignments on there with their due date and priority level--works for me

When i was at Arkansas i learned first semester a few important tools....
1. a time management class and how to budget yoru time

2. a Really good day planner and wall calander

3. magic markers to color code all different priorities
( yellow=school red= exams and papers blue= sorority
green= work etc... a color code system)

4. another one is know when you have had enough and have the good sense to say no before taking on another project and you snap!

Do you have any breaks in between classes-- an hour or an hour and a half? I would have hour breaks in between-- not worth it to leave campus and walk back to the house, so I'd sit in an academic building and make a to-do list for the day or night-- school and Greek things or I'd be able to make a call to the school paper asking to advertise one of our events-- basically I'd utilize every spare second to lesson the load... you'd be surprised at how much you can accomplish in an hour and how many to do things you can check off that list.

Day planners are always good along with time management.

And academics always come first.
