I would suggest getting it off to one side or getting it done of the outside of your lower leg.

I love tattoos. I have 2 myself. However, they should be tasteful and should mean something to the person.

It completely depends on the tattoo and placement. One of my guy friends has a chinese symbol for Aries on the back of his neck and it's so awesome. Another friend has a tribal band around him upper arm with a moon in the middle because his last name is Moon. As long as the tattoo means something and isn't just chosen out of the tattoo catalog at the parlor, it should be fine.

One thing that I hate though is tattoos all over the place. Ick. A couple is fine, but when you're completely covered...that's not good.

I dont like tattoos, so therefore i would never get one.

If a guy had ONE, i would be okay with it if it wasnt somewhere noticeable. I dont think i would dig a guy that had several or even a few in places where it would be seen.

I'm not a big fan . . . of course, that's just personal taste. I know girls who loves guys with tattoos. And obviously it depends -- like everybody else has said -- on the design, size and placement. I don't think I'd ever date a guy with huge/obvious tattoos, but I don't find smaller, more discreet tattoos to be a turnoff.

Gee, this is so subjective. On a young, fit guy, a tattoo can look really sexy. On the other hand, I saw an--ahem--older neighbor in a bathing suit a few days ago. He had two tattoos and it looked just plain icky.

And that's the crux of the issue I have with tattoos. I would totally love one now that I'm still young, firm, and cute. But how will it look when I'm 70?

Some tattoos are ok. If they are all over chances are you won't be meeting my mom and dad. I really hate when a guy has one tattoo and it is on the back of his lower leg. What's up with that? I don't like that spot for tattoos. I have no tattoos. I am to indecisisve so the last thing i need to do is put something on my body that I won't like in a few months. I had a belly ring--took it out after a year bc I was bored with it. Yet, I want a nose ring. It's really up to the person, justdon't be stupid and share a needle like Pam Anderson.

Some tattoos are great, some are awful. I think it depends on size, placement, significance, and overall appearence.

LOL. One of my friends brought up the fact that in 50 years, there will be millions of ladies in nursing homes across the country, with big saggy butterflies tattooed just above their butts!

That's why I could never bring myself to get a tattoo -- way too permanent. I might like it now, but in 40 years it'll look awful. For that matter, it'll probably look awful in 20 years!

Reminds me of a cartoon I saw where the young sailor had a Destroyer on his chest, and then the next pic showed him when he was older and the ship was sinking...lol.

We have a condo in Flordia so I see all kinds of peeps and tattoos and locations. If you are in to tattoos (and I'm not) they're ok on trim-fit guys and gals, but if person is oversized or older then FORGET IT! It's almost as bad as seeing thongs or a briefs on a bad bod...ewww. Flapping cheeks on a woman or a hairy beer gut jiggling over the front of the suit is yucky!

Another old school marm here! No tattoos for me!
I don't mind tattoos on military men.

why settle with permanent designs?
change the design and location anytime you like and follow the trend, the occasion and the mood.
Never give a guy with a temporary tatoo a second look, that's a sign of iness!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE tattoos on guys! My hubby just returned from his Navy deployment looking exceptionally fit, buff and generally yummy and I'd LOVE it if he'd get a small tattoo on his shoulder blade. I think it would look soooooo hot but he hates them so I wouldn't even bring up the idea to him

I'm split on the tattoo thing.......if it is small, discreet, and meaningful.......then by all means go ahead. For example, my best friend Derek....has a screaming eagle on his upper arm that isn't too big, and the chinese symbol for dedication on his calf.

On the other end of the spectrum is my e.x. who has his last name in huge 4 inch Old English letters across his upper back and shoulder blades. I was not a fan of that.
