I visited my ex fiancee over New Years (dec. 28th through Jan 1) and Austin and San Antonio were both lovely! Especially if you're from any place that experiences SNOW during those winter months...it's a GREAT escape.
I loved living in Austin. Austin has some great night life and lots of music. San Antonio has some amusement parks and the BEAUTIFUL River Walk!
If I could go anywhere I'd pick Austin, Dallas or New Orleans!
Great places!

New York City or San Francisco -- both really great, world class cities.
Denver is another great spot -- but I already live here.
Outside the USA -- London. Wonderful place to visit.

Aww, heck. *lifesaver blushes 'cause he's bashful* Open ended invitation. Come on down. When you come, you can explain to my friends what snow looks like. Seriously, I know a ton of peopel from the valley (by South Padre Island) who have never seen snow. (were about 3 1/2 hours north of there) The last time it snowed there was 1895. It snowed here, but in 1985. I tried explaining it as, "Its fun for about 10 minutes, then it gets cold and wet." So you'll have to thrill all us with tales from the great north. (Hey to us Kansas is the great white north). If ya wanna get away from it all, SA is the place to come.
Anyway, got the blender ready. Lemme know. Got a whole chapter of gentlemanly Lambda Chis ready to treat ya like a lady. Of course that invite is open to all the lovely gals of GC.

Washington DC if you didn't go in junior high. This is hands down the most important place everyone in America needs to experience.
1. The Smithsonian
2. The Capitol
3. The Mall
4. The Washington Monument
5. The Lincoln Memorial
6. Mount Vernon
Just to Name a few
Otherwise Miami is the place to be. I went there this past summer for vacation. It is not what everyone said it was. It was very normal and to me, the architecture was facinating and the atmosphere fun. We stayed at the Crowne Royal Palm or something like that. It was very nice for the price.

I think I would go to Texas, probably San Antonio. I don't really know why, except I like the idea of heat, with out humdity and friendly people.

I've lived in or visted 42 of the 50 states, and I think i have to agree with ilovemyglo. SanAn is the coolest city in the US, and definitely my favorite place to visit

I've gone on vacation to Albaquerque, New Mexico and loved it, so I'd say there...and San Diego and San Franciso, though I didn't get to visit them when I was in California...always have heard awesome things about San Diego though.

I would think of places I've never been before, and don't know anyone to show me the sights.
1). Chicago
2). Denver--our convention was there this year.
3). Cleveland--I'm actually going to a conference there this week! I'm really anxious to visit the rock and roll hall of fame.
4). Portland
5). Seattle
6). Even though I'm a Floridian, I've never been to Miami, and I'd like to at least visit.
