as far as houses the fraternities are getting them...really pretty manion looking things on campus...but sororities are not...
it had come up for vote to get suites in the new dorm they just built on campus but for some reason it was voted down..i think b/c of cost and the amount of dues increase it would be for each sorority.. not sure on the full details but i know it did not pass...so no houses or suites for us...
most of the org's on campus hold meetings every thursday in the GC ( Graham center or student union for those who are thinking HUH?!

)
we reserve a room on campus and we use the same room every week... makes things kinda convienent and all the org's are usually in the same building so we can get info to each other quickly....
as far as socials we usually plan ahead and either do it at someones house (backyards usually with a DJ and stuff) or we plan events to places on south beach or something bayside or the grove too.....kinda a mission for our social director cause it takes more time and creativity to plan events...
all in all though i love it! im close to home ( a 30 min drive) but still far enough to have my freedom.. (i live on campus) FIU wasnt my first choice for schools but im really glad i came here instead of leaving anywhere else..
QUESTION: for the University of Miami girls out there...how do you guys work rho chi's (rho gammas) or however you call them...do you have problems with rho gammas not being fair and not "holding the rules" ....a sister and me got into a conversation on how interesting it would be for UM and FIU to switch rho gammas to kinda keep it unbiased or more unbiased than it is... im sure it would take alot more training b/c im sure the two greek systems are VERY different...close but not that close... lol just an interesting thought...
