My Brother, Firend, Roommate wants to leave...What can I do?

If our brother does leave, does that mean that he cannot return at some point? I mean, is he just "stopping out" of school for a quarter/semester, or will he be transferring completely? Since he is a Phi Psi for life, hopefully he can work through his problems and come back even stronger. There is no rule that says that college is a four year process, and some people may need extra time to adjust to life as an adult. so it's happening...he told me today that he is moving home this weekend. i had been trying to help him, talk to him, but he keep telling that he just cant deal with it. i'm really lost right now. on one hand i want him to be able to deal with this, i want him to feel comfortable at home and not have the depression he has everyday. but i'm going to miss him. he is my brother. he is the guy you can go to at any time and you know he will always be there. i dont like the idea of someone else moving into his room. i liked living next to him. he was a perfect roommate. i dont know, i guess i have mixed emotions now that this has happened.

Sorry, Josh. My only advice is don't lose touch with him. It will help you both to know that you are still brothers and that your friendship remains strong. Best of luck.
