I go to USC which of course has a bigger Greek system than a lot of the UC schools. Which school do you go to? I am just a rushee, but here at USC, I would say jeans are definately out of the question. A nice casual skirt is basically even the norm for class. So I would say round 1, either nice capri pants or a casual skirt. And from that point on nothing less than dresses. I fully intend on wearing my pearls to pref. And i am wearing my jewelry to all my other rounds too, but not big stones or anything, mainly silver stuff (think Tiffany's or James Avery!
Good Luck!

I think it's interesting that people are saying nothing too formal for pref night, because that's exactly what ours is... extremely formal. I'm talkin' sequins and rhinestones. Most girls just wear their prom dresses.

Carolina DG, I see your point, but you are in the South? I know that recruitment is far more formal there than it is here in Southern California where Shark is....so that is why I say don't get too formal. I've been to my chapter's pref every year since I pledged, and it's never, ever that formal. Nor is it in any of the other houses. For schools out here, it's more of a dress very nice, but don't wear your prom dress kind of thing.

Oh, no... I understand that yours is less formal. I wasn't saying that you shouldn't say that. I just think it's interesting that yours is less formal, that's all. No, definitely dress region-appropriate.
