At my school we make up our own songs, this was my pledge class serenade I hope you enjoy!!
To the tune of Barbie girl (unfortunately)

Were sorority girls in the greek world

I know on our campus we also generally make up our own songs. We did the Beastie Song "Girls" and turned into "Boys" to sing to ATO's. That one I will never forget. The big thing is we had a group of girls get together and make up songs. They are always a lot funnier this way.

May I just say that I hold a special horror for anyone who serenades anyone.....I've never seen an instance of it that wasn't very obviously hazing. Pledge classes dressed like whores outside a frat singing dirty songs....yeah, there's a point to it. I keep an ice bucket handy during sorority pledging- to douse the sisters, not the pledges.

I can think of an instance where sernading wasnt hazing. When you have the entire chapter(better to say as much of the chapter that wants to) in nice black pin attire. Everyone is singing. And in the end the fraternity you are singing to brings you each a flower. Believe me I think that is a lot of fun.

:sigh: I wish I went to a school where things like that happened. Serenading here is 12 half-naked freshmen girls scared out of their whits singing nasty songs to a house full of drunk guys, while sisters look on. We won't let them on our lawn, it's just embarassing to be associated with. In general, we're trying to avoid the NPC sororities all together- they're snobby. The ethnic sororities tend to have a better sort of woman.

ALL I have to say is the guys have way dirtier songs than us.

Just so you all know--my sorority is not known as sluts-- this is just a song we sing at serenading.

So you are sterotyping all NPC sororities, b/c you have had bad experiences with some. The majority of us are down to earth girls, who are far from snobby.

Everyone says that....'you're making a stereotype'....stereotypes come from somewhere. Things are a lot different in the Northeast.....the spirit of Animal House is alive and well here, but in real life, it's not funny, it's pathetic and it smells bad.

When we Serenade it's not hazing, in the least. The entire chapter goes, in Badge attire to the fraternity, we sing nice, respectable songs, and the next week at our meeting the fraternity usually brings us flowers to thank us. It's all very nice.
I also don't like the generalization that NPC sorority girls are not nice respectable girls, because a good portion of us are!

I like the theata chi song.

Here is one we sing. We'll, its in our officcal song book. I would serenade a girl with it, but not with my brothers around.

Im not sure what type of songs you want??? All the songs I remember that are alpha gam songs are morelike chant songs for recruitment...what type of thing are looking for? Song specific to the org or just general songs from the radio?

Another nice song is one we sing whenever the occasion calls for it
WE love you (seniors, sophomores, freshman,, juniors, fraternity, or specific names)

We also sing it only takes a spark
Plus at our retreats we make up songs from songs that our popular and we do it by year in the house and then present them to the house!!! It's great fun and makes the girls work together!!!
