That would be telling
IHTFP can stand for a lot of different things, but the two most commonly used are:
I Have Truly Found Paradise
and
I Hate This *ahem* Place

The funniest thing about this is!!! There is a guy in my classes this summer (AT U of L no less) who is from England and he was reading over my shoulder and asked me what all of these things are so I had to tell him. My face was read and I just wrote that one cause I couldn't bring myself to say it, then he didn't understand, so I had to explain
(Picture me, sitting at computer, head lowered, saying something about the female anatomy being in a certain state of being) he said 'OH, we just call that headlights on!' HAHAHA THought that was a new one for me!

Another English idiom: I asked the English mother of oneof my students what "git" means, as the characters in Harry Potter keep using it. She said that it's "the worst of white trash".

Oh, sorry for those who don't comprehend... -These Abbreviations Have Gotten Out Of Control!
Will words become superfluous online? It took me months to figure out LMAO ( and versions subsequent). If certain people are set on using such abbreviations, at least add a key in your profile or something to this extent!
