But from what I've read or ur posts, I would buy u, just to piss me off as u have pissed me off.

Strangely enough, I like grits when they're gussied up and called polenta (an Italian thing). With wild mushrooms -- yumm. My mother, who's from South Cackalack, makes fun of me because I'm not terribly crazy about traditional grits, unless you serve them w/bacon or salmon cakes.

I can't believe that PM Mama wrote that. BTW, I've never seen a blue or green person.

I would wager that if we, the members of GC, had an in-person roundtable discussion about the thread where that post was found, PM Mama would just sit there nodding silently. People find it very easy to say what they REALLY feel in the anonymity of the internet.

Blue and green people exist in the same reality where you can add -ism and -ist to any root word.

I could not BELIEVE that slave quote! I actually went to that thread and read most of it, (which is actually a great thread, btw, but I just haven't been keeping up with it) and I just wanted to place that quote in context. You know, I thought it was just a bad joke or maybe she was like really provoked...but no. It was just a brain fart and by far the worst post in that intelligently discussed thread.

Hum-diddee-hum. By the way, no. I'd flat out say what I was thinking. And that quote was supposed to be a total joke. Does anyone really think that I would buy someone as a slave? Holy jees. I said it, realized that people wouldn't take it as a joke, so I editted it out. Yes, neicy did provoke me to say something. I think it was something like black people can't be racist, and it really got me. So I said that. It's done, I deleted it, but people quoted me. I know I'll prolly be quoted for a very long time. That's fine. This is the internet, so what do I care? If it helps any, I really am a good person, a favorite in the sorority. So, that's me defending myself, cuz I feel I have the right to.

I can't bitch too much about you. We all are little ignorant in some ways. I mean as long as you learn from it, it's not too bad. Though I am little embarrassed to admit, I've said a LOT of ignorant things in the past, but I learned from most of it.

Thank u so much for thinking the same thing! Even tho we've all said some dumb things, it doesn't mean that we're more ignorant than the next person. Well, I guess in certain cases where someone is a complete jackass there's an exception , which in my case I think I was bein a jackass... bad joke for that thread. Anyways, I think this is a good thread!

PM Mama, most of us aren't getting our kicks from slamming you...it was just your post! We all know we're entitled to our own opinions...I gotta give you props for having such a thick skin after the backlash.

I did it anyway, and hated myself for it. Standing there in the households section.... screaming brats and Lionel Ritchie BLARING on the speakers "oh what a feeling...were dancing on the celing" Yeah, I almost went back to the sports section and put a rifle in my mouth.
