Progressive Conservative

FYI here are Canada's main parties:

The Liberals (current party in power)
The Alliance (opposition party)
The PC (Progressive Conservative)
The BQ (Bloc Qubecois)
The NDP (The New Democratic Party)

On the poli spectrum:

the Libs are pretty much centre
The PC are a bit to the right and the Alliance are a bit further to the right)
The BQ are just a little to the left and the NDP are a further on the left)

When comparing Canadian and US political parties are RW parties still tend to be more left than US LW parties.

I'm registered Republican, so I can vote in primaries here . . .

. . . although I tend to be a 'moderate' - fiscal conservative, and social liberal.

The NDP is the New Democrat Party, not the National Democrat Party.
Interesting note: the NDP was founded by Tommy Douglas, who is Kiefer Sutherland's grandfather....

I am a Republican...recently converted from being a Democrat...my fiance couldn't be happier (although I almost didn't tell him 'cause I knew I'd get the "I told you so!".)
