Goonies, The Sandlot and Mary Poppins were my fav real life movies...and The Chipmunk Adventure, starring Alvin and the Chipmunks was my fav cartoon. I had the soundtrack on cassette tape and would drive my mom crazy singing all the songs! My favorite Disney cartoon is Sleeping Beauty.

Same here!!!
The Muppets Take Manhattan is on HBO all the time!! My mom used to hate us watching all of those shows over and over and over and over. One day she got mad and said "why do you need to watch it when you know all the words?"

Beauty and the Beast
And this is really old, so don't laugh... Old Yeller (my dad watched it when he was young and he got us to watch it-that and Brian's Song are the only movies I can still cry at, even though I am a guy! )

Im a big fan of Aladdin and The Lion King...But there is a new Disney movie coming out called Lilo and Stitch. I can't wait to go see it. A group of friends and myself are going to see it together. Im sure we are going to be the only grown adults in ther without children, but i don't care. The previews look soo funny.. Stitch is always gettin' into some weird silly situation...anyone think they might go see it?

My favs are the Care Bear movies, Goonies, Sandlot, Space Balls, Rainbow Brite, The Muppets Take Manhattan, Roger Rabbit--though I was initially scared of the evil guy, and Monsters, Inc. was adorable!

ok, so there is this one cartoon from disney, don't know the name. it is with mickey mouse, goofy, and donald duck. they all are going to go on a trip and mickey's house folds up into a trailer. its so cool. the whole way goofy is in the trailer as it becomes unhooked from the car. it rolls away and is a crazy adventure...
ah...childhood memories of my favorite cartoon.

Okay... I had to revive this thread because we went to see Lilo & Stitch last night. It was REALLY good. I laughed, I cried (I'm such a softie) and generally loved it. You know the greatest thing about seeing a kiddie movie in the theater is that you're surrounded by little kids who tend to talk really loudly as the movie is going on. Generally this would be annoying but when it's a cute little kid voice reacting loudly to the action on screen it's the cutest thing.
Side note: I'm really happy to see the evolution that Disney films are making. For a while it disturbed me how all Disney girls were drawn with the tiniest waists and these sureal Barbie doll figures. The older sister in this movie was a refreshing departure from that. She was drawn to look like a real woman and then was portrayed as independent as well as adored and pursued by the cute surfer boy. My friend also pointed out that they've improved the quality of animation for the main characters significantly. Stitch was a rather detailed creation.
One last additional rant: We went to the 9 o'clock show so the movie didn't let out til about 10:30 and we didn't get home til 11. Despite this there were babies... literally tiny babies and toddlers in the theater. Won't they be asleep half way through the movie anyway?

Mulan
The Little Princess
Muppets Take Manhattan
Follow That Bird (I can't believe that no one's mentioned this one yet!)
Harry Potter
The Secret Garden
Matilda
The Witches (Rould Dahl writes great books and they make good movies too, I wish they would turn some Susan Cooper books into movies)
I get to see Lilo and Stitch tonight, I am so excited! I can't wait for the veggie tales feature film to come out either. I love movies!
