I'll be rushing from the other side for the first time this coming fall, too! Any of you that remember my posts as a PNM (before they all got erased!) know that my rush experience was one of the hardest, most nerve-wracking weeks of my life! I was so equally torn between two houses, and in the end not even sure if I had made the right choice. I was the VERY last PNM to sign her bid card, and, full of uncertainty, I handed it in with tears in my eyes.
Well.... I have been an initiated sister of Phi Mu since the end of October, and I must say that marking that bid card the way I did on the last day of rush is the BEST decision I have made in my life. I have met my best friends and future bridesmaids; my joys have been multiplied and my sorrows divided.
I hope that during rush I'll be able to share my love for my sorority with the PNM's and just let it shine through. Maybe I will be able to show that one torn and uncertain rushee that she is indeed in the right place for her.
Nonetheless, I'm anxious, nervous, and excited about the whole recruitment process. I've learned so much from the workshops and I'm ready to meet all these new girls!
