I absolutly love the guys of ZBT. They were paired up with us for the greek week talent show and we won 1st place Our Pi Phi's are pretty nice as well. A bunch of them live on my floor here. I am from the Galesburg area and I know quite a bit of people that go to Knox. My boyfriend is in the Air Force and loves it....great branch to join. When do you leave for it? He's been in it for about 3 years now

I'm not sure when I leave, to be honest.
I take the asvab on wednesday morning.
I'd like to leave within 4 weeks.
I'll be enlisting for 6 years, though I'm unsure what exactly I'm going to do, or how long I'm really going to stay. Depending on the first six years, I might make a 20 year career out of it, and then become a backpacking enthuseast at its best(assuming I can still backpack at that point in time ).
We'll see. I might teach Philosophy instead. (my major at knox).
Oh.
Who all do you have in the way of GLO's at MM? I really don't know all of them.

Besides Alpha Xis, there is Pi Beta Phi and Kappa Kappa Gamma (who were both founded here at MC). For the fraternities, there is Sigma Phi Espsilon, Zeta Beta Tau, and Alpha Tau Omega. Who all is at Knox?

We have Phi Beta Phi, Delta Delta Delta,
For Fraternities, we have Sigma Nu, Tau Kappa Epsilon, Beta Theta Pi, Phi Gamma Delta, and Phi Delta Theta.
For Non-social GLO's,
Alphi phi Omega(co-ed service/philanthropy)
Sigma Alpha Iota(woman's Music Fraternity)
and a spatering of the honor societites assoceated with a specific discipline(if you choose to count those. some do, some don't). Someone was working on starting the male counterpart to SAI, but I don't know what happened with it.

Yeah I didn't even count the honor societies here. We definitly have a handful of those. I, myself, am also a member of Alpha Lambda Delta. We didn't do a whole lot with it though so no wonder I didn't count those As far as the others here, I couldn't tell ya...shows how much I pay attention ...Alpha Xi keeps me pretty busy (I'm our Financial VP). Fraternity headquarters named me FVP of March...I guess there was a reason for it >>Pretty darn proud of myself too

Congrats on that I didn't join any of the honor societies. I didn't even join the Non-social GLO that was available to me. (I felt that any time I spent with that would take away from the time spent with Sigma Nu, and my other responsabilities. and if I wanted to do more service, I could do it just as easily in the name of Sigma Nu).

I joined Alpha Lambda Delta a couple of months before I even gave thought to joining Alpha Xi. The only time consuming thing that ALD did was sell Krispy Kremes a couple of months ago. Wow...I have no idea how I managed that one

MMm. Donut's. The APO chapter here does a blooddrive(with Sigma nu. Or they used to word on the street is they have kicked us out of the blooddrive, and we are starting another blood drive with another group.(a local group. instead of the red cross?) I'm not there anymore. so I don't actuly know whats going on.
Other than that, I don't hear much about APO. It generaly seems to be something people join at knox to put on their resume's later in life.

I don't handle those too well though so I don't know if I will be there or not...me and needles don't go well together Call me chicken....

(OK, I don't give blood, period, so I'm even more of a chicken.)
Do you think you could send some Krispy Kremes up this way, pretty please???
