Too bad Salisbury, NC was not on the list. How bout Super Wal-Mart (w/ the store, auto shop, salon, archade, etc.) bought property RIGHT BESIDE K-Mart and opened shop Everytime I pass by K-Mart to get to Wal-Mart, the parking lot looks so sad. If the folks at K-Mart were smart, they'd apply to work at the new Wally World before they get shut down.

Another childhood memory fading...
No wonder there are barely any Kay-B toy stores anymore. The three that I did know of were in malls and they are now gone. The only Fao-Schwartz I knew of has been gone for years. But that almost makes me kind of sad that Toys R Us may be closing. It feels like I am losing so many things that remind me of my childhood. I know my boyfriend would be EXTREMELY upset if they closed Toys R Us........he works part time at one.

Wal-Mart is serious, ain't it? I remember when "Mom & Pop" stores seemed to be the only establishments threatened by Wal-Mart.
I can't imagine kids not having one huge toy store to go to, even if they just walk around for hours and come out with one toy like I did as a kid.

This is just depressing. I love Toys R Us and have no children or little neices or nephews. I go to get myself stuff that Wal-mart doesn't carry and just remember what it was like to enjoy a toy store. This is just crazy. Stupid discounters.

I knew you were going to comment on the dustiness, LMAO.
I think Sears stock has gone up with them being the sponsors of Extreme Makeover: The Home Edition.

See, I'd probably shop at Sears IF I had a HOUSE. Those Kenmore washers/dryers/'frigs are da bomb!

Well, I wonder if "Mothra" (sic) Stewart will have a gig when she comes out of Club Fed.
