Today is Sunday. DPhiE's Pref night for the colony was Friday. I don't know if they gave out the bids on Friday evening, but from their FB page, it looks like the Bid Day celebration was Saturday morning/early afternoon. So, by 5 pm on bid day, the OP is already saying she doesn't fit in and cliques are forming? And she knows no one and is having a terrible time? After basically less than 24 hours.

I think that's a new record for GC.

DPHIE does not initiate colony members until the chartering. What the OP is referring to is a new member pinning ceremony.

I'm sure that there were instances of groups of girls going thru colony rush together who already knew each other so maybe those are the "cliques" she's talking about.

Also this was the only thing they were rushing so obviously you see the same girls every day (as opposed to formal rush where groups subdivide and re-form depending on who gets asked back where). She is being a little quick on the draw to feel unhappy but in this situation it's somewhat understandable.

And you ALWAYS have the option of leaving - any time, any where, any how. If you are a 50 year member and decide you are done with it, you can resign then. If you are a 50 day member, same thing. They can't legally force you to maintain your membership if you don't want to.

Just and FYI, when we were Initiated as a Colony of LXA, were were and became full fledged members.

If the colony did not fly, I imagine we would be placed in Alumni status.
But it took a period of time before we were chartered, Usdually 3 years to make sure we were on solid ground and full filled all regulations.

But of course this is an IFC not a NPC group.
