Cool

I have at least six pairs of black pants!

Sorority pants, dance pants, f^#@ me pants
--they are progressively tighter
--for example we wear sorority pants during rush but the dance pants have to stay at home.

And I'm not affraid to be a hypocrite, I'll talk trash about those pants when a group of girls walks by in the "sorority uniform"...even when I'm wearing them!

What shoes to wear when you're going out: strappy sandals or chunky black boots

We wear them everywhere around here; to class, shopping, clubs, anywhere! When I'm feeling sporty I'll wear white platform tennis shoes with my letters.

Any tight shirt looks good. I prefer the short sleeved deep v-necked ones from Express. It all depends what look you're going for. The black pants are just like the perfect black dress--good for any event.

white we're talking about pants, let me just tell you about the WORLD'S FUNKIEST pants that i got the other day. my sister *biological, not fraternal* and i went on a shopping binge and i bought a pair of patent leather, zebra-striped pants! they're so money, you can't even believe it. the white parts glow under blacklight, which is superfly and they're just the coolest thing since cheerios. can't wait to rock 'em at school this year!

eternally in search of the bebe black pants...

Question

Okay, I have absolutely no idea what you all are talking about. Sorority pants? We never had such a thing, I don't think. Does anyone have a picture?

tiara,

my little calls them "bitch pants" so you're not alone. i prefer the term "sorority pants" over "bitch pants" but we use both here in hartford.

as the self-designated "sorority pants fashion diva", i'll answer dewgirl's question about what to wear with them...seriously.

okay dewgirl, seriously speaking, black sandals with a bit of a heel on them look really sexy, especially if you've gotten your toes painted or something of that sort. i usually wear my pants with either a cute button-down shirt *i have this red one that i got from old navy that sort of has a bit of a sheen to it, so it catches the sun...matches my red hair, too!* if you wear all black, it definately gives you an opportunity to accentuate your hair, eyes, jewelry...something else OTHER than your clothes. usually i wear silver jewelry. as for makeup, lately i've been doing this thing i saw in cosmo at a versace runway show. yu take a bright, bold shade of eyeshadow *my favorite is green, since my eyes are green*, and apply it on JUST your lid. don't go above it at all, so when your eyes are naturally open, you'll just see a rim of green *or whatever color.* also, line the BOTTOM lid in the same color. try to use a very small brush, or the side of a normal eyeshadow applicator...not the flat foamy side. this looks AWESOME with black and really gives you a chance to bring out your eyes. if you have big eyes like i do, this works really well.

that's it for etienne's makeup tips for the day...at least for now. hope this helps a bit!

Ok I'm obsessed with Bebe but sadly I am 5'2". I feel like their pants are SO long. they're like made for supermodels. Any other short girls have this problem? I have the hardest time finding cute pants. I mean I can just get them hemmed but it takes away from the bottom flare. HELP

(how ditzy do I sound?)

no, you don't sound ditzy. when i worked at bebe, i bought the "capri" pants and they fit me like regular ones, so i was set. the pants there ARE really long, but in contrast thier skirts are WAY short. i have this awesome grey one with a slit up the side...it's so sexy. love it!

You don't sound ditzy Actually, it's not that much easier being on the tall end of things. (Warning, people are probably going to start hating me approximately...now) I'm not TOO tall...5'8...but I'm thin and it seems like about 90% of my height is legs. So if I buy to fit my waist/hips/etc. everything hits me at the calf. But if I buy to fit my leg length, I can fit another person inside my pants.

Skirts are my friends

Ok, I just want to know why they can't make womens clothes more like mens. I buy my pants with a waist size, AND a length! and the sizes are in inches, not some arbitrary numbering system!

I agree Corbin Dallas:

Men's clothes are sized according to length and waist size.

I know it took me a long time to get in on this topic but I saw something that applied to me since in my area these poants are not designated as "sorority pants." They are simply bootleg pants.

My legs are reeeeaallllyyy long and these pants typically BARELY go over my ankles.

It pises me off. I have to get to bebe because I would like to see a pair of pants in which I could cross my legs and not have my ankles showing.

ANy other suggestions of boutiques/stores/brands that make really long pants for the longer legged women out here. I am 5'8" and MOSTLY legs...somtimes good but sometimes a hassle.

PEACE

Oh yeah...also, but pants that usually "look" long enough often get "filled up" because I (seeing as how I teach aerobics and do like 50 squats and lunges like 3 times a week) am very muscular and have a booty and some thighs. SO I am not tall and waife like but tall and muscular NOT heavy. So the pants have to be like reeeeeallllll long.

Okay, I'm done.

Oooooooooooh....Now I know what you all are talking about. I have bootleg pants. I do love them!

DELTABRAT, you should be able to find tall sizes through online catalogs for your favorite retail stores. Most times, they only offer tall/petite/plus sizes through their catalog. Try that!
