When I was in school my chapter was tiny (30ish). I think total at the time was 70? (maybe 60). I don't think any chapter was actually at total, but most were around 50 members. My chapter had been the smallest for a long while. Apparently they did something right with COBing my semester, as they pulled in our pledge class of 20. They also rocked informal recruitment the following spring and brought in another class of about 18. There was some tremendous leadership in those two pledge classes that turned around the chapter from the smallest to the largest on campus. They are going strong still more than 10 years later and haven't had any issues with low numbers since. It wasn't easy, and it was a huge transition, but the women now can't even imagine being a chapter that struggled with numbers and "tier".

When I went through rush, there were two WRCs on my campus. One turned around dramatically and is now one of the strongest recruiting chapters, but I would say it took two decades of steady effort. The other WRC eventually folded.
