Wish I'd thought of the black/tie-dye letters... sounds very spiffy. I have something not totally dissimilar... found a floral print where the background of the print is black, and had that as the letters, on a white background, on a black sweatshirt.
When my sorority was a new colony, our TEC (who went to UF, I believe) told us that the big thing when she was an active was white letters, white background, on a white shirt. I never quite understood why... it's not like you can see the letters if it's all the same color...
