I was an active runner a couple of years ago-- participating in mostly 5K's and a few 10K's-- that is until I pulled my back out! OUCH! I couldn't run let alone walk for the following mth.

Sold my Peachtree Road Race # for a nice profit though. lol.

I LOVE doing races(well, just 5K's) but I am not a great runner. I am a very good walk/runner. I can run for usually about the first mile to mile and a half and then I walk/run the rest. But I have done 3 5K's so far and I have LOVED doing them. LOVE getting the T-shirt too. As far as websites, I reccomend www.active.com for race sites--its where I find most of mine!

Any of you runners run a "hash"?

There are groups of "Hash House Harriers" all over the world- they describe themselves as "a beer drinking club with a running problem".

Apparently, they get together to run races- marked by flour on a trail...at the end of the race awaits BEER! It's much more complicated than what I described, but that seems to be what it is.

Here is a good page and links to your local HHH:

My trainer was telling me about hashes yesterday! Was thinking about checking one out here in LA.

You really should! It sounds like so much fun!

Since I go to school in Valdookie, there isn't a hash near me (unless I want to drive for at least 2 hours )

Run...maybe to the Mall. It's rough just going to Yoga in the am!

I wish I had the energy to run like the rest of you...I did date a triathelete, does that count, he ran enough for both of us!

Hmm, well when I get back from a run I usually have a beer or 2 or 5, does that count as a HASH????

I think i hurt my foot last night! The top of my foot is really sore, kind of irritating!
