I don't smoke or anything, in fact, I get kinda pissed when I smell smokes or see a smoker. But this is actually a required rush event...so idk?

If it's a required event, I assumed the OP was already a brother, not a PNM. I figured he wasn't happy about being required to attend an event where he could be exposed to second hand smoke.

No, he's going through rush.

I wouldn't expect to see info. or info in a formal paper. I'd tell the student to write out information. Since I used info., I was compelled to research my possible error.
From the Chicago Manual of Style:
Finally, an abbreviation ending with a period that is immediately followed by a question mark or exclamation point requires both marks (Q.E.D.!).
Now I would like to find a definite resource on the info./info choice. I couldn't find anything in the style guides or on the internet. I've always used info. in informal writing and e-mails. I'm thinking that could go either way.

LOL. And here I said I was sure it was a typo.

FWIW, I don't think I've ever seen info with a period like an abbreviation. The dictionary lists it as an informal word formed by shortening, not as an abbreviation. I would treat it like dorm or vet (for either veteran or veterinarian).
[/sidetrack] I wonder if the Cigar and Poker Party has happened and, if so, how it went.

I see your point with the vet/dorm analogy...I am going to use info from now on! I was quite amused with being mistaken for a college student.
Yes, we need updated info on how the cigar party went.

Being mistaken for college student can be flattering in real life. It made me laugh one time when one of my students' parents thought I was a high school junior and that my mother was the teacher. We all got a good chuckle out of that one.

I've read cigar smoke is actually worse for you, health wise, and it certainly is just as potent smelling (if not more so) than cigarettes. My husband loves cigars and he smoked one every night when we went on our cruise last winter. My clothes - and our stateroom - smelled horrible, even though he smoked nowhere near our room.
