Bingo. Only one school works. You can figure out all the chapters too. Great story!

As far as I know, off the top of my head Sigma doesn't have any SEC chapters so username points to Sigma Kappa or ADPi. My gut says SK, but I haven't and won't take the time to figure out the school and confirm.

Thank you, violetgeek, for sharing your story! I loved the suspense, and I didn't see the ending coming. I'm so glad that it worked out for you.

Of course as an adult, I realize I would have been happy as a Sycamore, but at the time i just couldn't see it.

In the end everything worked out great.

I'm glad everyone has enjoyed my story. I don't want to reveal the school or chapters -- I'm sure a good many of you have already figured it out -- i shouldn't have admitted it was an SEC school!

Would you be willing to say what chapter you are a member of?

I wouldn't worry about admitting you went to an SEC school. You said your recruitment occurred in the late 70's, so we are talking over 30 years ago. Whatever "negative" comments you made wouldn't be reality now as the chapters have gone through many different phases and changes. I guess I just don't understand the point of being super secretive for recruitment stories that are 10+ years old because the chapters are different now than then.
