Over Rated Movies!!

Blair Witch

This movie was so overated. I remember being upset because I didn't get the chance to see it at the movies. When I finally rented it I was so upset and dissappointed in the movie and all the people who said it was sooo good.

Ladies, don't shoot me down but I loved Titanic and American Beauty.

The movies that I think were overrated are:

Blow (with Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz)
Unbreakable (with Samuel L Jackson and Bruce Willis)
THE ENTIRE BOND SERIES
Eyes Wide Shut (with Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman)

That's all I can think of now.

I had the terrible fortune of seeing a FEW horrid movies this year:

1) Scary Movie 2 - this was the most ridiculous and UNfunny
ish I have ever seen
2) Evolution (BOOOOOORING)
3) Jurassic Park 3 (BOOOOOOOORING)
4) Black Knight (so predictable and so corny)

Those are all I can think of right now, and by the way, I LIKED TITANIC. And Mission Impossible is my stuff!

I thought I was the only one who didn't get it. American Beauty was interesting to say the least, but not worth all the hoopla. The bad part is I actually bought the video before ever seeing it b/c I just KNEW it was a winner (I mean, it had a gazillion Oscar nominations for God's sake)...disappointed is not even the word.

Absolutely and without a doubt the most highly overrated movie I've ever seen was The Blair Witch Project.

Was it supposed to be scary? Was the ending supposed to be all mysterious. I thought it was stupid and not scary at all, plus it made me a little sick when the camera did all that jerking around.

I thought AI was OK. Long...But pretty good. Haley acted in this movie. It is hard to believe he is as young as he is.

I agree with many of you for my picks of the most overrated movies:

Unbreakable ~~ The superhero thing was just out there. And, what was up with Sam Jack's hair!!

Planet of the Apes~~Just kinda retarted

American Beauty ~~ i just didn't get why everyone said this movie was so good. It was stupid to me!

Eyes Wide Shut ~~ just boring!!

Hannibal~~Him eating the brain. NOOOOOOO!!! This movie was just pretty stupid. And I loved Silence of the Lambs...

The Brothers~~ It was OK. I am sorry, but Shemar Moore is not a comediac actor.

Waiting to Exhale ~~ They left so much out of the movie that it wasn't that good. Plus, Whitney Houston threw me off. Because of her, I still haven't seen the Preachers Wife.

I would have to say THE BROTHERS!!! I mean that movie sucked and I still don't know what all the hype was about. I guess you had to watch it with your significant other...but I watched it one Saturday nite over a bowl of Butter Pecan Ice Cream and it was horrible.

4. Down to Earth ((or whatever that movie is called that stars Chris Rock and he dies and comes back as a white man!! I actually fell asleep in the movies on my brothers shoulder)).

MY PICK: SILENCE OF THE LAMBS!! I finally saw it in 1998 after many warnings do not watch it alone and not in the dark, etc. That CHIT was more boring than anything else.

Thank you thank you SO MUCH for being another person who agrees with me on this...I thought this was one of the most boring movies of all time and fell asleep both times I tried to watch it. When I tell people I didn't like it, they look at me like I said I don't like oxygen!

I also hated The Graduate. Simplistic and overstated.

THAT'S TRUE I STILL DON'T REALLY UNDERSTAND THAT MOVIE. I LOVE BRAD PITT BUT THAT MOVIE WAS STUPID!

Who'da thunk that a movie with so many high caliber actors and actresses could turn out to be a pile of sizzling hot mess over easy.

The PLOT -- there was none at all. I remember seeing the previews during the airing of the Soul Train Awards and thought OOOOO I can't wait. Once the movie was over, I walked out in straight mode. That movie will neeeeeeeeeever be in my I PAID FOR THIS MOVIE COLLECTION.
