Compliments of NICK-e:
I don't know if any of you plan to go see Pearl Harbor this weekend, but let me warn you: IT IS ABOUT 3 HOURS LONG!! Bring a jacket(it's always cold in our theaters) and don't drink anything before you go (you don't want to be up before you're down!!)Also, Cuba Gooding, Jr. plays a significant role in the film (you'll see what I mean), but he doesn't really have a huge speaking role. More Cuba would have been a good thing. I liked it, but it was just too dang long!! Let me know what you thought . . .

COMPLIMENTS OF ALMIGHTY14:
i went to see PEARL HARBOR last night man i have to agree that movie is too dammmmmmmmnnn long... i fell asleep a couple of times.... it wasn't that it was boring but i went during what would normally be considered "CLUB HOURS" and my body was not hearing any music so it did what comes naturally drifted off... no digs on white peps but only they could manage for one friend to meet a girl .... "die" ... best friend take over ... get girl pregnant... "friend comes back to life" and the other friend dies" then she marries the first guy and they raise the best friend child together.... honestly how many blk peps u know would have done that and still been together ,, much less alive...
peace, one love....
one summer flick down .. too many more to go.

COMPLIMENTS OF NOVELLA000:I loved the movie... it was long as all get out... But I felt kinda proud of what I saw. The whole history lesson and all, it was great. We went to see it around 3 pm... So I was okay when I left.
My guy and I were kinda tripping tho' -- we felt silly at not having known some of the vitals in the movie, like the President during that time... We guessed when the movie first started and later found out we were dead wrong!! LOL We don't remember much American History. Sad but true.
There was a pretty starlit cast in that movie... with a lot of cameos of folks I'd seen in other movies, but don't know well enough to name. Pearl Harbor was a great "power-of-the-human-spirit" movie. GO SEE IT... if you have a free afternoon.

Shrek was good. Much funnier than I expected it to be but I think it was geared more towards adults than children.
What's The Worst That Could Happen was also pretty funny. Better than I expected.
I am eagerly awaiting RUSH HOUR2, BABY BOY, The Fast & The Furious, Scary Movie 2 and Dr. Doolittle 2.

Danger Will Robinson,
I just wanted to warn everyone not to go see "Tomb Raider" it was too much like a video game in the fact that it was one dimensional. The theme, plot and acting were pretty good. Even the direction, but it just wasn't exciting.
Now Atlantis is something all together different. Did you know that Cree Summer(Freddie from a Different World ) is the voice of the character Kida. It's a really good movie with a good plot. It has the good hearted nature of disney movies with the comedy for kids and adults. It's a must see.
Am I the only one who noticed how Disney movies have been on the downward spiral? "How the Emperor got his Groove Back" There hasn't been anythng really great since the Lion King. Maybe Atlantis will bring them back up to standard

I saw Rush Hour 2 tonight - all I can say is hilarious ~ Chris Tucker! That chick that played in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is off the chain!
I'm waiting for the figures to come out about how much this movie grossed. There was a long line waiting to get in 30 minutes before it started (mind you, it played on several screens). The theatre was packed - ans yes, that's unusual for Charlotte.

I really want to see Rush Hour 2, I think I'll go this evening.
My daughter dragged me out to see Legally Blonde. It was a cute movie that would do well at Blockbuster. Wait for the tape or DVD

Yeah, I heard that was good! I'm gonna have to check that out, for sure. I heard a few people say it was a good movie, but after these posts, I'm definitely going to see it.
Shrek was VERY good and funny too!

I saw "Rush Hour 2" last night. I thought it was pretty good even though I still like the first one better. It's the only movie I've wanted to see all summer. I just really like Chris Tucker.
I see Ice Cube is coming out with a new movie soon. I saw a trailer for it in the theater. I think it's called "All About The Benjamins".

I saw the previews for Ice Cube in a John Carpenter movie called Ghosts on Mars.
HEY I loved Legally Blonde. It was funny and it imparted a message.
I have to wait until next week to see RH2 and American Pie 2 as well. I cannot wait.

I saw Rush Hour 2 last night...it was hilarious and I actually thought it was better than Rush Hour 1 even though they were both funny.
This was the first movie I have ever went to see alone and I enjoyed myself. There haven't been tooo many exciting movies out this summer so this is my first movie of the summer and it was an excellent show from begginning to end.
