Homesick

I haven't lived at "home" for 14 years and am 4 hours by car from my family and I too have been feeling homesick lately.

I do think its the holidays and being home for Thanksgiving started it. It was so wonderful to be around my family and spend time with my parents and have those long deep talks with my mom. And I do realize if I thought I could live there (Las Vegas), it would be a much easier life with much more support than the one I've been living in Los Angeles (which, although I love it, is expensive and at times way too cutthroat).

But I will get to be home for the whole week of Christmas/New Years and I imagine that will be enough time to recharge those family batteries, and by the end of the week, I'll probably be saying enough is enough, I'm 32, I've gotta get back to my OWN life. ha ha ha

Hang in there everyone, Christmas break is just around the corner.

DeltAlum, that is such a precious story - I'm glad you have that memory of your mom.

ZTAngel - I'm glad you've got plans!! There's nothing I hate more than the thought of people lonely on Christmas!!

Everyone else - hang in there, kids! Christmas isn't too far away, and even if home is, there's always 1-800-CALL-MOM!! Good luck with exams, everyone!!
