Theta Chi Rocks!! I got to go to the Mid-Year Leadership Confrernce, and I was still a Pledge, but they still treated me like a brother even though I was from a different chapter. I met brothers from all different chapters, and yeah, every chapter is different and unique, but we were all the same. Not like clones of each other, but all had the same ideals. There might be a few weak chapters that are having trouble, but we help them out when we can. We got our charter (we were a colony) and brothers from like two or three chapters besides the chapter that initated us were there. And it was cool because I met some of them at mid year.

In my town....
We have two chapters here. One of about 15 cities across the nation who have two Lambda Chi chapters.
Unfortunately, we dont really get along that well with our brothers from <school name deleted to protect brothers from embarassment>. While we go to the large state school (20,000+ students) and they go to the small catholic school (4,000 students), their chapter seems to be, how shall I say, a little rough around the edges. It also doesnt help that our two chapters couldnt be more different.
Ever since I moved to SA, we have wanted to have better relations withthem, but stuff keeps happening that makes us not wanna chill with them at all. Examples:
1."Mashing" at one of our parties and throwing one of our brothers through a plate glass window in our house 'cause they were so into it.
2.Starting numerous fights with our guests at our parties.
3.After being asked to leave one of our parties because of their behavior they complain, and as they are leaving fire a couple of rounds into the air for emphasis.
4.Bring SKANKS to our parties, or show up uninvited to our formal with 25 skanky chicks who try to start fights with our dates.
5.Meet with the consultant and when they realize they are going to get in trouble for drug usage in the chapter, try to avert his attention off of them by laying hazing allegations against our chapter, causing us a huge headache.
Were just different groups. One of their brothers has his ribs pierced. WTF is that? Also they think were stuck up. We are always hospitible to them when they show up unannounced, and feed them, and share our beverages with them. We've helped them rush time and time again. We dont mind, because its helping a brother. We have a 70 man chapter and can do it. They only have 20 men or so, so we can help them out but they are always ungrateful and disrespectful. Our consultant recommended that we do alumni events with them. Um, no. Dont see that happening anytime soon.
It sucks that we have a great opportunity to share our brotherhood with another chapter and there are these impediments in the way.
If we do anything with another chapter its always the Southwest Texas chapter. Those guys rock and are always cool. They party just like us and we've been doing stuff with them for years now. They come to our stuff, we go to their stuff. Our chapters are alot alike and is always a blast when we get together. Jsut wish SWT was across town and not 45 minutes away.
My 2 cents.

I loved going on road trips and visiting other chapters. We didn't have a house so it was nice to hang out in theirs. I only hope that they enjoyed hosting us as much as we enjoyed visiting them.
Poor Siobhan. I never realized how fortunate I was to be in New York State with so many chapters nearby.

Our chapter likes a lot of our other chapters. I know we're almost always visiting our Arlington and Houston chapters, and we have a lot of other good relationships with most of our others. There's a few that I found "interesting", but I won't go there.
Personal Note: Chapters that let me visit them on my infamous "trip across America because I got bored one night" are especially my favorites.

When I was in school, all the NC chapters were pretty tight knit. KD is pretty strong in NC, about 7 chapters and there were 2 in pirticualar that helped us install our chapter so they are kind of mentors(Wake Forest&UNC)!
We definitly used there experience to guide us to get off our feet. Hopefully my chapter will be as strong as the rest in NC as soon as they find their niche!
At our conventions and leadership conferances it seems no matter how different you all are you get along b/c you have so much love for the letters and that is recipricated with respect.
