On my T_witter timeline:
Tomorrow's headline: Like policies, Weiner photo reveals left-leaning bias.

Hey, that's better than what I wouldve written.

The article that AEPhiAlum posted a link to uses the term "bulging underwear," while this one, on the CBS site, uses "bulging crotch." Y'know, there are probably older reporters and editors out there who never thought they'd be writing about stuff like this.............
http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_1...html?tag=stack
The item posted on the CBS site also says
. . . The House Code of Conduct reads in part, "A Member, Delegate, Resident Commissioner, officer, or employee of the House shall behave at all times in a manner that shall reflect creditably on the House." . . .

What an idiot.
He should have just manned up to it from the start. I hope all the lies about his account being hacked and that it wasn't him in those pics end up biting him in the ass.

Dumbass. I don't really care that he was cybering with women online, that's for his wife to care about, or not care about, or whatever. But asshole sent the pics to at least one woman who said that it was harassment and I guess they'd been sent as a prank?
Sexually harassing asshole.

They really need to not write headlines like "Dramatic turn in Weiner scandal." Let's just call him an "embattled NY congressman" - everyone knows who it's about without there being Weiners everywhere.

I think he will more than likely survive this. The Dems don't eat their own. He has approximately a year and a half of mea culpas before they vote again and his constituents will probably forget (or at least partially forget). His main obstacle is that his congressional seat is in a fairly conservative (by NY standards) district.

Yeah, see, that's the thing. I would probably have been A-OK with it had everyone been a consenting adult and the pictures were solicited. I don't give a shit what gets your motor running.
Unless it's sending unsolicited dick pics to relatively innocent women.

And now I'm torn because when it comes to congress he's pretty fucking awesome still. *sigh* Look, Weiner, you do your job, and maybe I turn around and regain my crush on your brain, but no more of this bullshit.

Meh. Considering in the grand scheme of things, this is nothing when compared to Senator David Vitter (R., LA) frequenting the DC madam...and that involved illegal activity. It generally takes a sociopathic personality to run for public office, hence the bad behavior, but Democrats and Republicans have a pretty equal share of idiots. As for eating their own, it all depends on the climate at the time and the constituency of that particular idiot. Vitter has no viable competitor so despite campaigning heavily on "family values," he essentially got away with THE most tawdry sex scandal of this century.

LOL. You're political bias is showing. Big time. Correct me if I'm wrong but Vitter's scandal involved hiring prostitutes right? Like consenting, paid for a service prostitute? How is that worse than basically being an internet flasher to un-consenting participants?
Second bolded seems a little overdramatic. I don't know too much about Vitter but most tawdry of the century it is not.
