I heard they signed a multi-million dollar 5yr lease on the house. It'll be a while before it gets back in the hands of Kappa Sigma.

VandalSquirrel: Yeah AAU charges a lot, thats why I rent a studio (though even that its 1400/mo plus utilities). Thanks for the links, they didn't come up when I did searches about that 6 or more code.

Those are some good house links as well. I'll have to bring them up to chapter for a discussion, but with things now I don't see us getting things anytime relatively soon. I've got 5 years of school, so hopefully I can see our Chapter with a house before I graduate.

As for the KappaSig house at Berkeley, I wasn't aware that it could be rented out by another Chapter. That again is something I could ask about from HQ.

Thanks!

@Excelblue: Do you know when this lease was made? And it was the KappaSig house that was rented? Thanks

However I've heard mishmash details about San Francisco and housing laws that I can't seem to find at all on the City website. The only thing that repeatedly shows up in Google searches as well is "Big Gay Fraternity House" which obviously isn't relavent.

Supposedly you are not allowed to have more than 6 men or women in one house? Is this true (I can't find evidence of this)? How do apartments get by that?

Any info or a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
DId you guys ever find any solution?

Wow late timing, but let me respond to this!

We are still looking into housing options. With San Francisco regulations and money in general, this has been very difficult and put somewhat at the backburner. We need to increase our numbers and profits before we can even entertain the idea of a house.
