It was VERY good but KSUViolet wasn't lying about bringing tissues. So sad. They left a lot of stuff for part 2 but part 1 ddefinitely didn't disappoint. The ending is quite a cliffhanger and I just wanted it to keep going. Ugghhh and so begins the 8 month wait for part 2!

I've always been at the midnight showing. It was worth it once again. Best HP movie by far, keeping in mind that it's only part 1. Best choices of what to keep and what to cut, far better acting than usual, and rjgnfjkdsngjfkdngjfdk amazingness. I'm still so excited and I just got home.

It was a little annoying that people kept laughing at things that were clearly not meant to be funny but I think it was a "Wow, this is really sad and uncomfortable" kind of laugh. But the cheers that went up when Ron saved Harry and when Dobby appeared were priceless! Great choices in editing and making the story flow. Well worth getting home after 3am.

I'm beginning to think I have no soul. I didn't cry at ALL at the end. Not even a sniffle. Maybe because I was annoyed with the people around me going "OH LOOK ITS DOLORES. WAIT TILL A COUPLE SCENES SHES GOING TO SIFOSDIFMSODIFMSDF".
And the laughing was present in my theater too. Everyone laughed at one point, I can't remember which, but i was like 'this isn't funny at all....'.

Best HP movie so far. I didn't cry, but the HS girls sitting behind us were SOBBING to the point where THEY were making us uncomfortable.
Well worth the wait for this movie. Only 238 days until the next (and last ) one!
My only "wtf" moment of the night was about the previews. THERE WERE SO MANY. And omg, WTF IS THE COWBOYS VS. ALIENS?

^^^My WTF moment during the previews? Justin Timberlake as the voice of Boo Boo in the Yogi Bear movie. I just didn't see that coming. lol.

^LOL. Yeah, I'm there with two guys, so when Daniel Craig comes on they're like "AWESOME, JAMES BOND." And then suddenly he and Harrison Ford are battling aliens and the whole theater just start cracking up. So random, lol.

I thought the exact same thing. My first thought was Bond, James Bond then it went to WTF!!
HP was a very dark movie. There were a couple of light moments but they were few and far between. I believe that this movie may rate well after the final part is seen. Sort of like the "Empire Strikes Back". Everyone was saying "HUH" after that one too.

Yeah really, the series turns really dark after Book 4-5. I remember reading books 5 and 6 with a permanent face.

Thanks for the heads up, Jocelyn. I boo hoooooooed through the last book, so I'll probably flood the movie theater. I'm going tonight so I'll take a new Kleenex box with me!

Our theater lost it when the title appeared. My family had an involved conversation on the way home trying to determine if it's a movie that's supposed to be taken seriously or not.

Have a few more days to wait - my sisters and I planned to go see it together when we celebrate Thanksgiving next week, so depending on which day we go, I have anywhere from 5 to 8 days until I see it
It's fitting - saw the first one with my youngest sister, so we've built up to all four of us going together (maybe other family members, who knows). Thanks for the heads up for the kleenex, I'll make sure I'm prepared
