What are Your Halloween Plans This Weekend? - Page 2

I don't do Halloween, but... My chapter is having a Homecoming Brunch tomorrow. My cohort in crime & I toyed with wearing serious antebellum outfits and say that we're Founders (Octavia here!), but we didn't think that two hoop skirts could get into the elevator. I think it was a fun idea, anyway.

33, what restaurant is closing?

Jimmy Tsang's in Shadyside.

We drank strong ass drinks in the middle of the day and had ice cream for dessert. I think there's just too much competition in that area now that wasn't there 15 years ago.

My job literally dropped - Jimmy Tsang's is almost a landmark! I hate it when the so-so restaurants put the good ones out of business!

My nephew who is a baby-faced 6-foot-3-inch (no joke!) 8th grader and his buddy who is a shorter but swarthier 9th grader took their respective little sisters with them as candy magnets. Thankfully my 11th-grader had some sense of shame and stayed inside.

I hate Halloween with a vehement passion. However, I did go out last night and had an awesome time.

Tonight, I started all of my grad school applications and the rest of the weekend is devoted to studying for my GREs - "real life" is starting to freak me out!

I semi-celebrated on Saturday with a half-assed costume (an angel) and did the real thing on Sunday. Sat was just a small house party, and on Sunday, I went to downtown Santa Cruz. Everyone walks up and down the main street there to hang out and look at costumes, see friends, have spontaneous dance parties, etc. It's always very interesting!

P.S. Can we share costume pics?? Where should I put one?
