Geeshh....one thing recruitment stories have taught me is that I am not as patient as I believe myself to be. They are like episodes of your favorite show that are "to be continued." Ya'll stay nice to me when my kid goes through recruitment next year (where ever she ends up...lol) because I will have ants in my pants. So with that said...PLEASE continue.....

As Fall semester started, I thought about my options more and made a decision. I emailed the recruitment chair for Sandra Lee. I figured that I had already gotten to know a lot of these girls and really loved spending time with them! I thought this would be a chapter where I would be happy. Why get to know a whole new group of girls, when there are ones I already like very much?
This is where the story becomes more recent. A few weeks ago, I attended a baseball game supporting homecoming after being invited by Suzi. I met a lot more girls in Sandra Lee that I hadn’t already met, and I had a really great time! They were all so sweet! I also got the chance to hang out with some Sandra Lees in a more informal setting at Suzi’s apartment, where we watched Camp Rock one night, and where we just hung out another night. I had a great time.
I was also invited to a COB event that Sandra Lee was having at their suite. This past Saturday, I went to the event where we played Apples to Apples, ate cookies and brownies that had PSU colored icing, and got to know each other. It was a really fun afternoon. On Monday, the recruitment chair let me know to keep an eye on my email.
Of course, I was checking it RELIGIOUSLY. Seriously, every ten minutes I was refreshing the screen. Finally, around 3:00 yesterday (while I was in class!!!) I received an email from the Greek Life office informing me that recruitment events for upperclassmen had ended and that bid extension would be from 6-8 that night in the HUB (student center). I was so excited!!!
After a meeting for another club, and an activity for a class, I headed to the HUB to pick up my bid!!! We walked into the office two by two as the VP of Membership (I think) for Panhellenic gave us our bids and explained to us the conditions of it/how to accept, etc.

Thanks for keeping it smart, simple, sweet and semi-homemade.
Congrats on Sandra Lee.

LOL.

I know this feeling (went through COR). I was glued to my phone and my inbox for an entire weekend! It was torture.

I had a feeling.

I love being right.

Welcome home and congrats!

I've met some Beta Upsilon CAB members (advisors) and they're great.
