To protect the privacy of some of my daughters, I started their stories with 2nd parties and then--by the number of parties anyway--it was harder for people to out them and their location.

Plus, it makes the story easier to follow with fewer chapters and the "more important" chapters in the story, ie the ones the PNM actually returns to.

I had an idea on this one, but it's not who I thought just by the use of the word Pi Chi.

(even if I figured it out, I wouldn't out)

Dora had her Pi Chi meeting yesterday. She is the only girl from her dorm in her group. She doesn't know any of the other girls, but her TTX "Winnie" seems very familiar to her. She asked her where she may know her from and Winnie said she didn't know. Dora has instructed me to get out her yearbooks to see if they went to high school together. Winnie has a phone # similar to Dora's, so she is definitely from our corner of the world. I will put on my Nancy Drew hat and get to work. The are having another meeting today, but Dora has another activity she is required to attend, so she will not be there. They are also having dinner together. Roomie has decided not to RUSH and frankly I am glad she did not waste her money on the registration fee if money is tight for her. I will be waiting a few days to update. Hope everyone has a great day

I forgot to mention that they are not allowed purses, cell phones or watchs. They are limited to a sandwich size zip-lock bag. Cruel and unusual punishment if you ask me. I told her the contents should be: breath mints, travel size deo, lip gloss, some of those coffee filters, a few sheets of her small notebook with the sorority names already written on them and maybe a few tylenol. She can't take Advil or aspirin as she has an allergy. Winnie should have anything else she may need. I told her to get with some of the girls in her group to see if they could share mascara or any other make-up since space is limited. BTW Kurt is my favorite character also!

Umm...ewww on the sharing mascara. I'd share lipgloss before I shared mascara.

I didn't know sharing eye makeup was something people did, until I got to college. It's kind of like washing your hands before putting in contacts....yuck.

and as a former camp counselor of pre-teen girls, I can tell you mascara is a breeding ground for pink eye. DO NOT SHARE mascara. Use all the tricks in the book to make it stay on all day and don't touch your eyes to smear it. And good luck!

I have heard of sharing powder eyeshadow in a pinch, but NEVER NEVER NEVER mascara. I'm pretty laid back about germs 'n such, but this is one thing that makes me go ew.

It's ok guys, they'll all get pink eye together and will bond as sisters. Or all Greek women. Or something

Does Dora not live in a traditionally freshman dorm?

Also, can you tell us what groups are at the school? It's always nice to know that much.

That baggie thing is such a pain. My daughter did the same thing and stressed over the contents which for her included tampons! BTW, sharing stuff will only work for open house round. After that, they will no longer visit the houses together as a group.

Lip gloss can be just as bad as it may spread Meningitis or Mono (if I remember correctly from my many hours of watching Discovery Health).
