If you have the chance to see it in IMAX or XD, and don't mind ponying up the extra couple of bucks, I highly recommend it. Friends and I saw it again the other night, and thought it was much better in XD.
As far as the final kicks go, I feel like at the bottom they were supposed to spend a few years. I don't know about you guys, but that didn't seem like a couple of years to me. Then again, it could just be because he is dreaming, so it doesn't really matter.. Gah!

Since the power was out, the kids and I decided to go see this tonight. We all loved it. I spent about the first half hour totally confused but then started to "get it". It reminded me of Memento that way. I just had to watch and absorb and then it all made more sense. We debated all the way home which way it went at the end and we couldn't come to an agreement. I thought it left it open to a sequel but my daughter thought I was nuts to think that. I enjoyed it. It was very thought provoking.

I'm gonna have to wait and Redbox it. I can't sit through a long movie without having to pee, and I know I'd be lost if I left the theater during this one. Also, Mr. Bunny would almost definitely fall asleep, thus wasting money on tickets. If it's not Bogart, there's a pretty good chance he'll be out cold halfway through it. (Not saying there's anything wrong with Bogart. I'm a huge fan myself.)

Remember they had to "speed things up" because they had unforseen issues to contend with. So yes it was beneficial because time was extended more and more on each level, but at the same time, they did not need to full amount of time.

There are plenty of chances for you to pee if you wait until they actually are doing what they spend the first part setting up. After that, nothing really matters.
If I spent time analyzing this movie, I'd wanna do what the wife did. There's nothing to analyze for me because of the nature of the film the real is unreal anyway.

100% agree. I don't get why everyone keeps saying it was the best movie ever. I too was twitchy, bored, & seat-locked so I was stuck. The only part of the movie I did like was the fight scene where the hallway was spinning. Beyond those few minutes, the whole movie was stupid. There were too many gaping plot holes for me to truly buy into it.

I freaking loved it. IMO the plot holes were there for a reason...so you fill them in with what you want.

I saw the plot holes as deliberate also. After all, dreams have HUGE plot holes usually.

I liked this movie-totally mind blown.
I'm usually hesitant in watching these kinds of movies in the theater. I become incredibly confused and zone out. Especially since I saw the 12:10 showing, being confused and having to be alert until 3am was a lot to ask.
Anyway, great movie. I read the Wiki this AM-totally cleared up some questions and created new ones. Wouldn't say "greatest of all time" but its up there.
P.s. I totally mindgasmed during that hallway/zero gravity fight scene. Joseph Gordon-Levitt has become quite the hottie over the years. I also have a new level of respect for Leo DiCaprio as an actor.

Leo keeps getting better and better parts which really show his acting ability. I watched Catch Me If You Can for the first time last weekend and I absolutely loved him in that one too.

Ugh, lost the rest of my post!
As for the ending, I believe the top topples. But... if it didn't topple, I hope it doesn't mean a sequel to find resolve. If this took 10+ years to create, a sequel over the next couple years would be lame.
And AGDee, I agree-i loved Catch Me if You Can and this movie reminded me of Inception. I've got a new level of respect for Leo Dicaprio as an actor.

2. The top kept spinning.
That said, I think they cut to black just as the top started teetering so that we get to decided the ending! Maybe he was right all along and now he's home to take care of his kids, or maybe he was wrong and his wife was right and he was to kill himself to to the the real wold and be with his family in the world world- pretty huge risk. I think he's going to be staying where he is.
Nolan worked on the script for an entire decade, any holes in the plot were probably there to give the audience a chance to try to explain it for themselves.

The kids did age, according to the credits: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1375666/fullcredits#cast
It says there were two different actors/actresses for each child:
Phillipa age 3 and age 5
James, age 20 months and age 3

^ according to others, however, the "actors" for the older children were only the voices (on the phone), not the children at the end.

The previews remind me of The Cell (Jennifer Lopez) which bored me senseless. I tried to watch it on two occasions and fell asleep both times. With that in mind, should I give Inception a try?

^ you need to go see Inception. The Cell was a terrible movie and I hated it, but Inception is now one of my favourite movies.
