^^^ agreed. The "annual bashing sorority rush" article is tired sophomoric college journalism.
There was a decent set of articles in the Daily Trojan about a month ago (maybe one was a letter to the editor, I can't remember) written about the recruitment process by two members of the same sorority with opposing viewpoints. Very well thought out and articulate! I could agree with something on both sides. and let's face it, rush at USC, like most campuses in Southern California, where cute, smart, talented, accomplished and personable PNMs are in no short supply...can be brutal. But compared to job hunting in the current environment? Please. In life you will be evaluated based on your appearance, personality and other subjective factors, and you will be rejected, and no one will ever give you a reason why. So better put your big girl panties on and get over yourself!
