The tribute was wonderful! I agree that it was LONG overdue!

All of the performers did a wonderful job. But, Mz. Patti topped it off when she sung Somehere Over the Rainbow (my favorite). She's such an inspiration.

I think it is hard to find REAL PERFORMERS who have the ability to do justice to a Patti song. Many of today's performers lack the intensity and passion for the craft that Patti exhibits in EVERYTHING she does nor do they really have her range when it comes to live performance.

I still enjoyed the "free concert"

Was it just me, or did you all notice how good Musiq Soulchild looked in his clothes. There was something really sexy about him having on a suit last night instead of the baggy stuff he usually wears. Also I thought that he and India.Arie moved and grooved really well together.

Actually when they were singing is when I really thought he was sexy as they were swaying to the beat of the song.

The Walk of Fame was great!!!!!!!! My favorite performance was Gerald Levert. I just love that man. Jamie Foxx is just plain funny. But of course Patti stole the show and is was her's to steal.

I enjoyed the show last night, but is it just me or do you all think more performers should have shown up to give Patti her respect? Everyone did a great job, but when some of them sang twice I was wondering where were some of the old school and the new school artist. Patti has paved the way for so many to sing and unfortunately shake their tails to the point of disgrace on stage. I know Patti requested Gerald Levert and you know Luther was gonna show up (they both did great jobs) but it's so many others that should have performed also to give her the honor she deserves.

Musiq Soulchild looked so much better last night. Maybe I'm just partial to men with haircuts.

I liked the show also. I thought that a lot of the performances really didn't do a Patti song much justice. I guess I am comparing them to the way that she would sing them. I do know that i am looking over the fact that every singer would put their own flare on a song. As far as my favorite goes.... i would put that title on Faith Evans at the beginning. She did a really good job of singing that song. My mom says that she forgot some of the words, but she does give her credit and says that that was the best that she has ever heard Faith sing.

I agree with the person in the all access show that said that Stevie would be a good person for next year. He really would. That man has songs for days.... and i mean good ones too.

Why for the post show did they not have LaBelle being interviewed together?

where was he in the show? They showed him singing with robert townsend in the post show, but i never understood what his purpose was or where he came in in the show. I really like him and his eyes.

He wasn't in the show, but he was sitting in about the 1st or 2nd row of the audience.
