Not only did Chico State, and the greek system, offer tremendous educational opportunities and social support, but as the clock ticks on, we also have friendships that stand the test of time. So before you go mocking what you have no idea about, try doing your homework and approaching things with an open mind. You may be surprised that when the glass is half full - so is your life!!!

That's all very nice. However, you really need to add "P is not G 101" to your course list. 2 of you have posted, and you both seem to have problems with this.

So did they lose their charter? All I saw was "temporarily suspended."

I love all of the Chico greeks! Even though we were in different houses I love the way we all stand up for each other and our University! As a Sigma Kappa and Chico State alum I am saddened by the rude remarks others have left here on this thread. Sigma Kappa is an amazing sorority. All of my best friends were also my sorority sisters and we are now all attending each others weddings and baby showers. I also met my husband at a Sigma Kappa and Delta Chi social. I love how everyone focuses on the negative aspects of greek life and they completely forget about all the philanthropic work that is done.
I sincerely hope the EK pledge that went to the hospital is ok, and I also would like to thank the brave Sigma Kappa that called 911 that night! Funny that the same night an 18 year old girl from the dorm was also taken to the hospital with alchohol poisoning and it was never mentioned. Greeks get a bad rap and they shouldn't.
And to all you that think Chico State grads were just a bunch or partying idiots, let me just say that during the job interview process, I was actually hired because I went to Chico State, they like how Chico students have social skills and can handle a social life as well as an academic life!! I work for a major internantional commercial real estate company with Stanford and Berkeley grads as colleagues! I love Chico and all Chico State Greeks!!!
