Usually I get a squirrel calendar but didn't get around this year.
For the house, it's Tuscany (cause I reallllllly want to go.)
For work, I have "Playing with Food" or something like that, it's cute animals made from food.

I usually get my calenders for free. My job hands them out every year. No pictures, just the company logo. Pretty simple.

I always buy a big office style calendar for home. It's my master calendar and I write everything on it.
Also, my good friend, who is English and lives in the UK, sent me a calendar for Christmas this year. Making reference to my military affiliations, he sent me the "Royal Navy Official Calendar 2009" with the note: "Sadly, you're not eligible for the 'real deal', so you'll just have to look at the pictures. Never mind, I'm sure your Navy will be nearly as good."

This year is the 3rd time I'll have Hello Kitty. It is tradition for my boyfriend to get me the new one every summer. It comes with cute stickers and the characters birthdays (which I could do w/o, but whatever). This year the cover is pink poodle themed, which has a very special meaning to me and I couldn't be more thrilled.

I always get a planner from the big boss every holiday, and I'd rather have a desk or wall calendar. I have my electronic planner on my mac, and a paper one put out by the school which has dates important to us. I buy calendars on sale, last year I got one of The Police but not sure about this year.
The big boss gave me Far Side one year, Sierra Club, and this year Ansel Adams. I told him I actually cut the pictures out and use them for art around the house or to make other things. I'm kind of big on reusing and recycling as i won't regift the planner.

We have a "Boxer dog" calender downstairs for the family though we haven't found a new one yet.
I usually have a cute flower one that I get cheap some where for my room.
I always try to keep a planner but stop using it a few months later.
I have a big wall calender on my desk in my classroom so I can write conferences and meetings down.

I am rolling at the idea of a Greyhound bus calendar.
You could have the baby/mini bus, a bus in the garage, 2 busses sitting beside each other, a bus on the road, a bus with all its lights on at night...

I love the idea of a dry erase calendar! I may have to start that.
I always had a calendar as a kid, my mom used it as an incentive program for me. Cats, Barbie, etc. Oddly enough I don't have one now as a 'grown up' and just use a planner or iCal.
