We've seen PNMs have their heart set on one particular sorority before rush. They visit the chapter, and sometimes they get very disappointed.
The same thing can happen for chapters who think they know which PNMs they want even before rush starts. They end up meeting the PNM, end up not liking her, and don't bother inviting her back to the next round.
