Question

Okay, this may sound like a dumb question, BUT do you have to buy a shirt to get a membership at morphius??

Nope,

"Morphius" (who has the www.morpheus.com domain name) is just a record company. They've built something a tad misleading I think -- just out to make a quick buck.

Go to www.musiccity.com to get the Morpheus file swapping thing.

Also you can find lots of other programs if you browse at www.download.com

I really like BearShare, although nothing could be as great as Napster was.

Ok, now I am kinda angry! I went to use Morpheus today and it said something like "your version is too old to connect, go to musiccity.com to download the new software." So, I did, but I hate the new Morpheus set up!!! Anyone else have this problem?

I love audiogalaxy.com you don't even have to really wait for the songs , you put them on your list and then it will download it for you, so all you do is pick the songs. You can find the songs right away with no hassle! it's the greatest!

Just a word of caution: Most of these programs also install other "spyware" programs on your machine. Their intent is to record the types of websites that you browse, etc... then sale the information (also selling your email address and such).

Fortunately there is a program called "adaware" that can get rid of these for you. Just search for it on www.download.com.

Napster is actually going to be coming back. But I don't know how well it's going to do considering they are going to charge a fee to use the service.

There's no way I'd PAY for something I could get for free somewhere else. As I understand, their selection will be limited to only those companies that would sell their rights to them...

As I understand it the Gnutella network actually would be impossible to shut down since there's no central point that everyone connects through... So as far as I know, there'll always be that.

You cannot download from Morpheus anymore without paying.

I not sure what's point of joining groups on Audio Galaxy. I don't really it.

**Bump**

Hey guys...

I was using Kazaa on my computer at work. Unfortunately "Big Brother" at the university has demanded that anybody with a computer connected to the university server has to uninstall it

So here I am, a Kazaa junkie with nothing to listen to.

Is there ANYTHING out there I can use? Anything. Or am I just out of luck?
