lol, that was actually funny.
Badgerboy, you're new, so I'll cut you some slack. Some folks have been here a long time and are a little jaded.
We don't discuss reputations here. We don't discuss stereotypes or tiers here.
These are not the droids you are looking for.
You must look elsewhere to seek the answers you desire.
Keep in mind that a brotherhood is more than throwing keggers. A group who throws the best parties might suck in all other aspects. Go to recruitment events for a variety of groups, not just the "top tier partiers."

Then why would you wish to join? Oh wait… I get it.

Tools to succeed in life? Why yes, they have.

Alright, this is what I wanted to say at first:
Oh, I'll bite
If you come on here with a post like that, and you're transferring into UW, you're not going to make one of the "good frats" anyway.
Good luck to you.
boom
Now I've decided that's a bit harsh, as this kid just seems very naive and uninformed. Guess what, dude, all fraternities at UW Madison have pretty good social lives. It is MADISON = there's plenty of opportunities to party. Look into recruitment and see which organizations might fit you best.

I'm going to have to second my friend kchaptergphib on this one. No matter what, if any, fraternity you are lucky enough to join at UW-Madison will allow you a very healthy social life. And you might be surprised to learn that you'll probably get a lot of other things out of it too. The students here are very smart and very driven; you're not going to last long if you just want to party.

There are other sites where this sort of thing is discussed, but there's so much self-ranking and misinformation that said sites are completely useless.
GreekChat has been around for a million or so years and we prefer to be a site which offers helpful, useful, true information rather than the latest gossip and innuendo.
I'll give the OP my canned answer for this sort of inquiry--go through formal recruitment. Find a house you like and if they'll have you, pledge them. You should contact their Greek Life office to find out what you need to do to participate in Fall recruitment.
