This is kinda the problem, as I see it. I don't mean to pick on your group at all, so I apologize for hijacking your thread. Basically, hand signs among non-D9 groups are mostly things the local chapter makes up, or one chapter makes it up and then shows it to others in the area, or whatever, but they are rarely (if ever) an official thing. Local traditions and whatever are cool, but a lot of them are like "wtf are those people doing with their hands?", and I would guess that most of the women/chapters making them up do no due dilligence on what else said hand sign might represent. For example, I saw one picture in which women were doing a sign very close to the ASL sign for "vagina". I can also think of, off the top of my head, at least NPC three groups that share symbols with Chicago gangs, and if, for example, a group of ZTA's decided to start throwing up crowns, they'd be signalling something very different from what they intend.
