I am in the process of trying to get a smaller alumnae chapter out here in the suburbs - I'll keep my Houston membership, but there are several alumnae out here who don't like to drive that far or who are intimidated by the size of the Houston group.

Are you active in your alumnae chapter? Well...I try to be. The alumnae association I joined regionally is heavily tied to a local chapter, which I was not a part of, so I kind of feel out of the loop on some things, but there's another sister who always remembers to invite me
Are you an advisor? Yes - I became the financial advisor the fall after I graduated to a nearby chapter (not my own)
Are you part of a chapter's housing corp? My chapter just got a house this fall. I am a worker-bee on the committee.
Are you a regional/province/whatever officer? Yes - I'm on the finance team
Are you a national officer of some sort? Nope. I thought I might want that one day, but I've begun to realize that I really like working locally with chapters, so I'm not sure if that's something I'll pursue or not...
Something else? yeah. my career is fraternity and sorority specific.

Are you active in your alumnae chapter? No - live too far away, but I try to get to a few things a year.
Are you an advisor? I was in the mid 90s for 4 years.
Are you part of a chapter's housing corp? Technically, any initiated sister is, but I am working with my undergraduate chapter on a special project.
Are you a regional/province/whatever officer? Yes - I'm a standing committee chair for the entire fraternity, so I report directly to our President and work hand in hand with IHQ staff and other volunteers on things that are directly related to my committee's charge. Prior to this role, I was a Province Director for 9 years and then served on the Ritual Committee for 2.
Are you a national officer of some sort? no
Something else? In Alpha Gam land we can be awarded the Honors of Epsilon Pi - given for faithful and continued service to the fraternity at any level. This honor is akin to a badge guard, and in fact takes the place of our chapter name guard once awarded. It starts with the Arc, which is given for 5 years of service, followed by the Arc with Diamond, Arc with Diamonds, Arc with Diamonds and Pearl, Arc with Diamonds and Pearls - each given for a minimum of 6 years service after the last Arc received [so if you wear the Arc with Diamonds and Pearls, you have been volunteering for at least 29 years]. I currently wear the Arc with Diamond, which means I have at least 11 consecutive years volunteer service since graduation [I actually have 18 years - amazing!].
Some of my dearest friends I have met through this service to the fraternity [including AGDee!] and there's no way I could have known in college that I would still be doing this now, nor how these skills that I've learned would help me in my day to day life. While I thoroughly enjoyed my collegiate years, I wouldn't trade my alumnae service for anything.

I think we've discussed this before, but I think we're essentially doing the same thing volunteer-wise (regional support kind of things). I love it.

We have and we are! This is pretty much my "dream AOII job".

Q: Are you active in your alumnae chapter?
A: Yes, both. intermittently, of course, as much as my health allows. I pay dues to both, no matter how "active" I am that particular year. I attend meetings, service/philanthropy, and social events whenever possible.
Q: Are you an adviser?
A: My Gamma Sig collegiate chapter is inactive.
My Alpha Xi chapter just got a new adviser, and I hope to assist her on some level. Again, as my health allows.
Q: Are you part of a chapter's housing corp?
A: No house at my collegiate chapter, of AXiD but recently donated some items to the chapter room on campus. I was really excited to be able to give the girls some stuff that they can really use, and that will last a long time.
Q: Are you a regional/province/whatever officer?
A: No.
Q: Are you a national officer of some sort?
A: No.

Are you active in your alumnae chapter? I belong to one (i.e. pay dues), but it's an hour away and the meetings are always at 6 p.m., so I never make them. I wish I could be more active. Sort of noodling the idea of starting a chapter around here...
Are you an advisor? Yes! General adviser - and since the only other adviser is our financial adviser, my sister who's two hours away, I'm at everything!
Are you part of a chapter's housing corp? No
Are you a regional/province/whatever officer? No
Are you a national officer of some sort? No
Something else? I am a "Key Woman" for my area - a contact point for recs.

Are you active in your alumnae chapter? If we had one that actually functioned, I would be. I tried to restart it after I graduated college, but it never got off the ground, and still isn't.
Are you an advisor? Yep. I am CAB-Standards (i.e. Risk Management). I have mostly enjoyed it, because I think that the standards process has really made a difference (for the good) in several members' lives.
Are you part of a chapter's housing corp? No, we have suites.
Are you a regional/province/whatever officer? No. I'm probably too much of a rabble-rouser and ask too many questions, though I am very pro-KD. And now that I have a family I don't have that kind of time and don't want to do the travel.
Are you a national officer of some sort? See last answer.
Something else?

Are you an advisor? Yes- Public Relations for Beta Alpha Chapter at Texas Tech.
Are you part of a chapter's housing corp? No
Are you a regional/province/whatever officer? No

Something else? I just donated a bunch of fun bid day pins and funds to my undergrad chapter. Not a big deal, but they were cute and the girls loved them.

Are you active in your alumnae chapter? Yes
Are you an advisor? I have done this in the past but don't anymore
Are you part of a chapter's housing corp? Yes, I don't interact with the actives much due to my role (next question) so this keeps me connected with them.
Are you a regional/province/whatever officer? Yes, I oversee alumnae associations in two states.
Are you a national officer of some sort? No
Something else? That is more than enough. :P

Are you active in your alumnae chapter? Yes, somewhat. I co-chair the evening group & help out with some of the communications (evites, contacting younger alumnae, etc). I can't attend the normal monthly meetings or most programming because they're during the workday.
Are you an advisor? Nope. I would like to at some point but just don't have the time/energy right now.
Are you part of a chapter's housing corp? Nope.
Are you a regional/province/whatever officer? Nope.
Are you a national officer of some sort? Nope.
Something else? Yep. In addition to my local alumnae association, I'm part of another association that focuses on historical preservation & knowledge sharing- especially of our badges. The Keepers of the Key group falls within this association.

Are you active in your alumnae chapter? Yes!
Are you an advisor? I was in the late 80s/early 90s-5 years
Are you part of a chapter's housing corp? TI was a house association board member when I was an advisor to my collegiate chapter
Are you a regional/province/whatever officer? Yes - I am an Area Coordinator, overseeing our alumnae and collegiate chapters in part of Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and part of Michigan. They recently changed the number of "Areas" we have. Prior to that change, I had collegiate chapters in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ontario, Nova Scotia, New York and Massachusetts. This is my 6th year as an Area Coordinator. Before that, I was a Province Director for 6 years and served on the Finance Committee for 5 years before that. I've been around the block a few times I have been a continuous volunteer since January, 1988.
Are you a national officer of some sort? no
Something else? (Borrowing from Doctor D here): In Alpha Gam land we can be awarded the Honors of Epsilon Pi - given for faithful and continued service to the fraternity at any level. I currently wear the Arc with Diamonds, which means I have at least 17 consecutive years volunteer service since graduation [I actually have 22 years].
Like DoctorD, some of my closest friends are Alpha Gams from all over the country who I have become close to through the years as a volunteer. I was chatting on FB with my first college boyfriend (TKE) on Tuesday night and told him I was so glad I'd gone out with him because HE was the one who inspired me to go through rush. I told him I have no idea who I would be today and what I'd have done all these years without my Alpha Gamma Delta sisters because Alpha Gam is so tightly integrated into my life.
