Yet another example of why recolonization plans should be put on hold till all the current members graduate. Yes, you may lose your spot on Panhel, but isn't something like this worse?

And if it's true that this was brought up at an official rush event - talk about boo-boos. That's like Congress saying there is no Mafia and then requesting $ to help fight the Mafia problem.

Y'know, I find secret societies fascinating, especially the not-so-secret part.

If these ladies want to create a new sisterhood because they can no longer be a part of the collegiate chapter due to their hazing policies, that's their choice and their necks. Using AEPhi's name as bait for new members is unacceptable. And clearly, they will most likely continue hazing --the whole nature of this PHI society is shady at best, and I'm not inclined to be sympathetic to any girl who gets suckered in.

However, I find the sheer scale of this operation terribly amusing. Issuing 80 invites to an event that 'never happened' just doesn't seem like the brightest idea for information control.

The AEPhi's at Michigan were always a little troubled. The chapter was all JAP's and I heard that they had to get new toilets in their house every 1-2 years cause they kept wearing out the enamel. But I see they lost their charter because of the high level of cocaine use in their sorority and hazing. I like the sorority so hopefully they can get their comeback soon.

If they closed b/c the chapter was hazing, couldn't they still reopen but with all new members (ground-up expansion)? Or did the members that were there not lose their "sister status" when they closed?

Usually when they close a chapter all members go alum, and when they reopen they try not to include any of the members taht closed the chapter.
